Co-Founded by Prince Haruna Momoh in 2013, alongside other stakeholders in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry, the Gas to Health Initiative is an NGO committed to promoting the use of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and, in turn, improving the health and lifestyle of people across Nigeria. The Gas to Health Initiative endeavours to provide safety tips and raise awareness of the benefits of using LPG

over other fuels such as firewood and kerosene. According to the World Health Organisation, the use of kerosene, firewood and charcoal currently contributes to up to 68,000 deaths in Nigeria each year. In contrast, LPG is a highly efficient, low cost and safe energy source. As such, Prince Haruna Momoh and the Gas to Health Initiative are actively campaigning to increase up take of LPG in Nigeria, particularly for domestic cooking.
