WORLD HEPATITIS DAY 🌍🩺

1.3 million people died from hepatitis B and C-related cirrhosis and liver cancer globally in 2024.

Hepatitis can be prevented, tested, and treated. Yet, many people remain undiagnosed.

This World Hepatitis Day, Silver Lining Initiative calls for greater awareness, early testing, vaccination, prevention, and access to treatment.

Test. Know your status. Protect your liver. Save a life. 💙

Every Mother Deserves Safe Motherhood

In Nigeria, 57% of women still give birth outside a health facility, and only 46% of births are attended by skilled health personnel. As a result, Nigeria account for nearly one in every four maternal deaths globally.

At Silver Lining Initiative (SLNI), we are committed to promoting safe motherhood through maternal health education and advocacy because every mother deserves a safe pregnancy and childbirth.

1 birthing kit = Safety of both mother and child.

Every pregnant woman deserves a safe delivery. We put essential birthing kits into the hands of expectant mothers, bridging the gap of maternal mortality and bringing every pregnant woman closer to a safer childbirth.

Too many mothers still facing preventable risks during childbirth.

As Silver Lining Initiative marks 17 years of impact, we chose to celebrate once again by closing that gap,
- Mothers were enlightened.
- Pregnant women received birthing kits.
- And lives were touched through meaningful community engagement.

Seventeen years on, and our commitment remains unchanged. Saving lives, strengthening communities and being the Silver Lining behind every dark cloud.

Happy 17th Anniversary SLNI

As part of our 17th anniversary, we are proud to share a powerful testimony from one of our Youth Advocacy Training beneficiaries. She notes that the program significantly enhanced her leadership skills, boosted her confidence, and motivated her to drive positive change in her community. Her journey highlights the lasting impact of empowering young people to lead.
