What is Digital Gender-Based Violence?

It includes harassment, non-consensual sharing of images, threats, cyberstalking, online shaming, and coercive control through technology, especially targeted at women and girls. Digital abuse doesn’t just go away, it leaves behind emotional wounds just as deep as physical harm and no survivor should have to walk the recovery journey alone.

At VentCope Relief Initiative, we stand with survivors online and offline to provide tools, safe spaces, and guided emotional support to help them adapt, recover, and sustain their emotional wellbeing.

Safety is not just a right, it is a core part of emotional wellbeing. So here a few ways we can protect ourselves as well as others:
1. Report hurtful or abusive content
2. Respect boundaries (online and offline)
3. Speak up when you see digital abuse happening
4. Support survivors with compassion, not judgment.
5. Keep harmful content from spreading, don’t share harmful screenshots.
6. Demand safer digital spaces for all.
