So far, over 20 titles have been making waves under the umbrella of the READS Campaign with the aim of putting the READS titles in every home. So many people have spoken against child labour in the past, but from experience, word of mouth has little or no effect in ending the pandemic. Secrets are best kept in books, they say. The READS titles are out to reveal the secrets. Record Breakers Book under the READS category are targeted at young adult and serve as a modern medium to sensitize the society, create awareness and inform the public on the need to get the 70% of the child population off the street into the class – rooms. We believe every child deserves the right to education including the girl child and children with disabilities. We also believe every child can become anything they choose to become if giving the right education, care and support. To objectify and consolidate this belief, Books of Record Limited, through the READS Campaign research, create and promote educative stories and plays that emphasizes on children’s right to education, getting rid of child labour, abuse and molestation, child exposure to the knowledge of HIV/AIDS, youth motivation to achieve academic success, youth participation in innovative thinking and creativity. We show example and we take the lead, create awareness and engage in the contest to stop every form of child exploitation through the READS Campaign. Special message from the Founder/CEO, READS Campaign Africa

Do you know? The most deadly pandemic in Nigeria was not the Coronavirus? According to UNICEF, over 10 million children of our dear country, Nigeria, are not in school. Where could they possibly be, you might want to know. Under the malicious attack of a man-inflicted pandemic ... CHILD LABOUR
The former President of the United States, Bill Clinton, raised these concerns during his visit to Nigeria in the year 2000, when he looked at the faces of children on the street. He said:
‘You never know
what potential
is in their mind and
in their heart;
what imagination they have;
what they have already
thought of and
dreamed of
that may be locked in
because they don't have
the means to take it out’
I share these concerns each time I see children of school age wandering the streets of Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and other cities in Nigeria; selling sausages, sachet and table water and so on. You see children on major roads, scrambling after moving vehicles, endangering their lives, competing in a marathon race with moving buses and cars just to make a few naira...
Some are violated, r***d or abused. My heart bleeds for a permanent solution...
After fifteen years of research, l came up with the perfect solution; a system that will take children off the streets permanently...
It is new but innovative! It is a solution system that involves you and I. For expected results, we have to play our parts. All that is needed of you to make a record-breaking impact in the future of our nation is to have you on board. JOIN NOW! send us an email on this page. As a people and as a country, we have to be a part of the solution that we all desire! No single effort can end the hustle of helpless children struggling for survival on the streets. That is why a movement that can cultivate and harvest the honest participation of all and sundry to end this pandemic in every nook and cranny of our nation; in every state and in every city is needed. Join the READS Campaign Africa – Unveiling a New Engagement Program for International Day of the Girl Child

As the world prepares to celebrate International Day of the Girl Child on October 11, 2025, the READS Campaign Africa is excited to announce the launch of a transformative engagement program aimed at empowering girls across the continent. This initiative, set to be unveiled on October 11, aligns with the global theme “Girls’ Vision for the Future,” a call to listen to and support the aspirations of girls as outlined by the United Nations.

The READS Campaign Africa is a powerful movement dedicated to addressing the right of child to education in Africa especially children in the rural areas and critical issues such as gender inequality, discrimination, and violence against girls through the medium of literature. The movement was established by the Nigerian Books of Record project in 2018, with the aimed to end child molestation and fight for the rights and well-being of children, the campaign utilizes short novels, plays, and poetry. These accessible stories offer timely solutions to environmental and societal crimes committed against children, raising awareness and inspiring action within communities while fostering a deeper understanding of the unique obstacles girls face and encouraging the creation of safer, more equitable environments.

This new engagement program will focus on empowering girls by providing them with educational resources, mentorship opportunities, and platforms to share their voices. By highlighting specific challenges in areas like education, health, and protection from violence, the initiative aims to equip children with the tools they need to overcome barriers and reach their full potential. The program will also celebrate girls as leaders, innovators, and agents of change, aligning with the UN’s mission to recognize their vital role in shaping a better future. A key goal is to take at least 70% of the child population off the streets and into classrooms, reflecting the campaign’s passion for transformative education.

The READS Campaign Africa has already gained international attention, with its literature translated and shared across cultural contexts, sparking conversations that transcend borders. The upcoming program will build on this momentum, collaborating with local and global partners to amplify its impact. By engaging communities and stakeholders, the campaign seeks to create lasting change and provide girls with the support they deserve.
