We were greatly honoured to have Professor Promise Mebine, the esteemed Director-General of the National Mathematical Centre (NMC), serve as the Guest of Honour at the 2025 AFFIT Grand Finale.
His presence added immense value to the ceremony, reinforcing the importance of academic excellence, innovation, and intellectual development among young people across Nigeria and Africa.
In his address, Professor Mebine emphasized the critical role of educators, critical thinkers, and young innovators in shaping the continent’s future. He encouraged students and Fellows to adopt a mindset of discipline, curiosity, problem-solving, and lifelong learning; values that the National Mathematical Centre stands firmly for.
His words were not only uplifting but also deeply enriching, leaving every attendee motivated to pursue excellence with renewed passion and commitment.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Professor Promise Mebine for honouring our invitation, supporting the vision of AFFIT, and continuously championing the advancement of education, mathematics, and innovation in Nigeria.

One of the most inspiring highlights of this year’s AFFIT Grand Finale was the outstanding performance of students from various schools who competed in the Book Review Challenge.
With confidence, clarity, and depth, these young scholars showcased exceptional understanding of “Beyond Book by Dr. Emmanuel Ogah”.
Their presentations were analytical, inspiring, and thought-provoking- revealing a level of intellectual maturity far beyond their years.
They didn’t just read the book;
They engaged with it.
They interpreted it.
They brought it to life.
Congratulations to every student who participated, y’all are winners and will go far, You proved that the future of education in Africa is bright, bold, and brilliant.
