Inclusion is often misunderstood.

It is not pity.
It is not charity.
It is not “helping.”

It is something deeper. Something more intentional.

This is what inclusion really looks like →

Disability does not diminish a person.
It never has. It never will.
One humanity. One standard of worth.
Every person deserves the right to thrive-fully, without apology.
This is not a sentiment. It is a standard.
Live it. Don't just post it.

💡 FACT YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T KNOW:

Only 2% of people with disabilities in Nigeria have access to rehabilitation services.

Read that again. 2%.

This means 98% of Nigerians living with disabilities (over 24 million people) lack access to physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other essential rehabilitation services that could dramatically improve their quality of life.

For girls with disabilities, this gap is even wider. Many families don't prioritize rehabilitation for girls due to cultural biases and financial constraints.

But here's what we know: Early intervention and consistent rehabilitation can:
✅ Improve mobility and independence.
✅ Enhance communication skills.
✅ Boost self-confidence.
✅ Increase educational and employment opportunities.

At Cedar Seed Foundation, we're working to change these statistics by advocating for accessible, affordable rehabilitation services and supporting families to access existing resources.

Knowledge is power. Now that you know, what will you do?

This quote resonates powerfully in our work at Cedar Seed Foundation.
When girls with disabilities are denied access to healthcare, education and opportunities, we're not just failing individuals; we're failing our entire society.

But here's the truth: Every person with a disability is a champion in their own right. Navigating a world not built for them requires extraordinary strength, resilience and courage.
Our job? To remove the barriers. To amplify their voices. To create a Nigeria where disability doesn't determine destiny.

To every person with a disability reading this: You are not just surviving; you are leading the way toward a more inclusive future. We see you. We celebrate you. We stand with you.
