Grand Africa Initiative-Supported Entrepreneur Wins Inaugural DBN Sustainability Award.
A moment of pride for Grand Africa Initiative and the North Central region of Nigeria.
We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Moses Nweke, Founder of UpSmart Energies, who emerged as the Winner of the Inaugural Sustainability Award at the 2026 Development Bank of Nigeria Entrepreneurship Training Programme (DBN ETP) and secured 4th Place Overall nationally.
His achievement earned a total grant funding of ₦1,000,000 to support the growth and expansion of UpSmart Energies.
As a supporting organization for the North Central region, Grand Africa Initiative provided mentorship, monitoring, and strategic guidance throughout the programme. Under the direct supervision and support of Favour Chioma Ikebuaku, Communications and Programme Officer, Moses was prepared to effectively represent the region on the national stage.
This achievement is more than a personal victory. It demonstrates the power of intentional entrepreneurship development, strategic mentorship, and ecosystem support in unlocking the potential of young innovators solving real-world challenges.
We congratulate Moses Nweke on this remarkable milestone and look forward to the continued growth and impact of UpSmart Energies.
At Grand Africa Initiative, we remain committed to connecting entrepreneurs with opportunities that transform businesses, communities, and the future of Africa.
