A New Foundation

A New Foundation A New Foundation is an organization that focuses on drug abuse and addiction in our society. We offer outpatient drug rehabilitation programs.

If you are wondering what “A New Foundation” is, it is simply a drug addiction rehabilitation program. It is a wellness program that encompasses all aspects of human nature i.e. Mind, Soul and Body. A New Foundation is a positive-perspective in thinking, and the goal is a new start for people that are looking for hope, even just a small silver lining to know that things can change and they can cha

nge and become better human beings. The reason for this change is so they can become productive and better their environment and those around them. We provide a well organized, well structured and discreet program for individuals with drug abuse and addiction challenges. We help to conquer addiction by highlighting the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse and then directing the afflicted individual to a positive and strong cognitive state in which they choose to make the right decisions when they are faced with stressful and compromising situations.

Last week, we had the privilege of participating in a one-day stakeholders’ engagement at the invitation of Nigeria To***co Control Alliance (NTCA), organized in collaboration with Corporate Accountability and Public Participation Africa (CAPPA)
The engagement focused on the dissemination of findings from the Nigeria To***co Industry Interference Index (2025) a critical report that sheds light on how to***co industry activities can influence public health policies and to***co control efforts in Nigeria.

It was an insightful and impactful gathering that brought together stakeholders committed to protecting public health. The discussions provided a valuable platform to examine key findings from the Index, reflect on their implications for Nigeria’s to***co control landscape, and collectively explore stronger advocacy pathways and policy actions moving forward.
Participants shared valuable perspectives and practical recommendations, reinforcing one important truth: the media must remain at the forefront of promoting safe health narratives and shaping public awareness. Through responsible reporting and sustained advocacy, the media continues to play a vital role in safeguarding communities from the dangers of to***co use and substance abuse.

Following the engagement, we proceeded to Real 99.3 FM for an appearance on Talk Your Own with , where our Executive Director shared important insights on the growing concerns around substance abuse, the societal implications, and the urgent need for collective action.
Moments like these remind us that multi-stakeholder collaboration is essential in building healthier communities and protecting future generations.

Together, through advocacy, awareness, and sustained action,
we can continue to build a safer society and a healthier future for the next generation.

Today was a purposeful day of advocacy and impact for A New Thing Foundation.

We joined the 11th African Youth Initiative on Crime Prevention, diving into a powerful conversation on the *Legalization of Medical Ma*****na in Nigeria*—from the perspectives of the elderly, Gen Z, authorities, and human rights experts. Ambassador Kenneth Senate also shared updates on the upcoming public hearing by the Ad-hoc Committee on Drug Trafficking and Abuse.

We commend Ambassador Chris Ibe and his team for their consistency and impact. 💚

Our day continued with a virtual West African Trade Delegation Session with the Atlanta Black Trade Chambers’ GOC Power Hour—spotlighting new opportunities for Nigeria and Liberia.

We ended with a brief meeting focused on strengthening collective efforts for a better, safer Nigeria. 🇳🇬❤️
