Digital rights are NOT a luxury. They are human rights. ✊🏾💻

The internet is not neutral—and here in Nigeria, that is anything but abstract. The digital world is exactly where we live, work, communicate, and organize. If our rights don't follow us online, we risk facing surveillance, data misuse, heavy censorship, and a total loss of privacy.

We just wrapped up an incredible Train the Trainer conference on Digital Rights, proudly organized by the NIGERIA NETWORK OF NGOS! 🛡️🌍

While Nigeria has milestones like the Nigeria Data Protection Act and the Digital Rights and Freedom Bill, the truth is clear: no laws are set in stone. It takes a community of educated, vigilant advocates to turn these frameworks into real-world protections.

When we defend digital rights, we are protecting:
🔹 Our freedom to communicate and work online without fear.
🔹 Our right to privacy and data protection.
🔹 Our society from government overreach and censorship.

Huge shoutout to the Nigeria Network of NGOs for putting together this timely event, and to all the trainers who stepped up this week! Now, it’s time to take this knowledge back to our communities. The work continues. 🚀🔥
