The Guardians of the Nation International (GOTNI) CDS Group continued its mission of sensitizing students across the FCT on leadership, civic responsibility, and character development. The corp members visited Adiola International School, Rosa Mystica Academy, Golden Good Shepherd Academy where members had an engaging and inspiring session with the students.

One of the major highlights of the visit was the donation of menstrual hygiene manuals and handbooks to the students. These materials are designed to serve as practical guides, helping young girls better understand puberty, menstruation, personal hygiene, and overall self-care. The handbook provides step-by-step information aimed at educating, empowering, and building confidence among young students as they navigate this important stage of life.

At the Guardians of the Nation International CDS Group, the belief is that education goes beyond the classroom. By combining leadership development with health education and moral values, the group is helping to shape a generation of informed, responsible, and confident young people who can positively impact their communities.

Every school visit serves as a reminder that the future is bright when young minds are equipped with the right knowledge, values, and guidance. The group remains committed to this vision and looks forward to reaching even more schools and students across the FCT.

Last week Thursday marked a significant milestone for the NYSC GOTNI Leadership CDS, Kogi State, as they successfully hosted a transformative training session in strategic partnership with the National Orientation Agency (NOA).

The event, held at the NYSC State Secretariat in Lokoja, focused on a critical theme: “Re-orientation of our National Core Values/National Identity Project.”

The CDS President, Ibrahim Khalil Sulaiman, set the tone for the day with a powerful welcome address, emphasizing that the strength of Nigeria lies not just in our resources, but in the character and values of its leaders and citizens.

A huge thank you to the National Orientation Agency for their expert facilitation as they explored the immense benefits of imbibing national values—ranging from enhanced civic responsibility to building a more united and prosperous nation.

Last week, GOTNI CDS Kogi State had the incredible opportunity to visit Nurun Mubeen Science International College in Lokoja for an impactful outreach program. Their session focused on three key areas: career guidance, self-discipline, and leadership. They engaged with the students in meaningful conversations about discovering their passions, making informed career choices, and the importance of staying committed to their goals.

They also emphasized the power of self-discipline as a foundation for success, encouraging students to build positive habits and remain focused despite challenges. In addition, they explored what it truly means to be a leader—highlighting responsibility, integrity, and the courage to inspire others. It was inspiring to see the enthusiasm, curiosity, and potential in every student they interacted with. Moments like this remind us of the importance of investing in the next generation. We look forward to more opportunities to empower young minds and shape future leaders.
