LECTURE RECAP
Topic: UNDERSTANDING EMOTIONAL INFIDELITY: HOW IT STARTS AND HOW TO GUARD YOUR HEART IN MARRIAGE
Teacher: Mummy Jam Jam
Introduction
When people hear the word infidelity, they often think only about s*xual affairs. However, many marriages are damaged long before any physical affair occurs. The damage often begins in the heart.
Emotional infidelity is one of the most dangerous threats to marriage today because it is subtle, gradual, and often disguised as friendship, mentorship, counseling, workplace relationships, social media interactions, or seemingly innocent conversations.
Many Christian women would never consider committing physical adultery, yet they may unknowingly allow emotional connections with another man to grow beyond healthy boundaries.
The truth is simple: every physical affair begins with an emotional connection somewhere.
No one wakes up one morning intending to destroy a marriage. It often starts with attention, validation, conversations, emotional dependence, shared secrets, and misplaced affection.
As believers, God is concerned not only about our actions but also about our hearts.
Proverbs 4:23 says:
"Guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life."
The heart is the battlefield.
Why Emotional Infidelity Begins
One common excuse many women give is:
"My husband doesn't have time for me."
"My husband is not expressive."
"He doesn't listen to me."
"He's always busy."
Then they say:
"That's why I talk to my friend. He listens, cares, and understands me."
But we must honestly ask ourselves:
Why is it the opposite s*x?
Why not a female friend?
Why not a female mentor?
Why not a sister in Christ?
If all you need is support and understanding, why must it come from another man?
Emotional infidelity rarely starts with romantic intentions. It often begins with harmless conversations that gradually develop into emotional attachment.
Before long, a woman may find herself sharing things with another man that she no longer shares with her husband. She seeks his opinion, values his attention, anticipates his messages, and depends on his presence for emotional comfort.
What started as friendship quietly becomes emotional dependence.
That is why we must diligently guard our hearts.
What Is Emotional Infidelity?
Emotional infidelity occurs when a married person develops emotional intimacy, attachment, dependence, or connection with someone outside the marriage in a way that rightly belongs to their spouse.
It may not involve:
Physical touch
Kissing
Sexual activity
Yet it involves giving another person access to your emotions, vulnerabilities, affection, thoughts, and desires in a manner that threatens the marital covenant.
When someone outside your marriage begins to occupy emotional space that belongs to your spouse, emotional infidelity has begun.
Why Emotional Infidelity Is Dangerous
Many people excuse it by saying:
"We are just friends."
"We only chat."
"Nothing physical is happening."
"He is like a brother to me."
"He simply advises me."
However, emotional affairs are often more dangerous than physical ones because they create deep emotional bonds and unhealthy dependency.
When a spouse begins to seek comfort, encouragement, validation, or excitement from someone else, the marriage is already under attack.
Most emotional affairs do not begin because people are looking for a lover; they begin because people are seeking comfort in the wrong place.
How Emotional Infidelity Usually Starts
1. Innocent Conversations
Most emotional affairs begin with harmless interactions:
Good morning
How was your day?
Have you eaten?
At first, nothing appears wrong.
But gradually:
Public conversations become private chats.
Group discussions become one-on-one messaging.
Casual talk becomes personal sharing.
Personal sharing becomes emotional bonding.
What you repeatedly share emotionally with someone, you naturally begin to bond with.
2. Complaining About Your Spouse
This is one of the most common entry points.
A woman feels lonely, hurt, or misunderstood. Instead of addressing issues properly with her husband or seeking godly counsel, she begins discussing her marital challenges with another man.
He listens.
He sympathizes.
He validates her feelings.
Over time, emotional intimacy develops.
A wise woman understands that not every emotional struggle should be shared with a man who is not her husband.
Not every marital gap should become another man's assignment.
3. Social Media Relationships
Many marriages are not breaking loudly; they are bleeding silently through social media.
What begins as simple online interaction can become emotional attachment through:
Constant messaging
Daily check-ins
Late-night chats
Hidden conversations
One major warning sign is secrecy.
When messages are deleted, notifications hidden, or chats concealed, boundaries are already being crossed.
Transparency protects trust.
Secrecy destroys it.
4. Emotional Neglect in Marriage
Sometimes emotional infidelity begins because emotional needs are consistently unmet within the marriage.
This may include:
Loneliness
Lack of communication
Lack of appreciation
Lack of affection
Lack of attention
These struggles are real and painful.
However, they do not justify emotional infidelity.
Instead, they reveal areas that require healing, communication, prayer, and intentional rebuilding within the marriage.
Warning Signs of Emotional Infidelity
Ask yourself honestly:
Do I look forward to talking to this person more than my spouse?
Do I share things with this person that I hide from my spouse?
Would I be uncomfortable if my spouse saw our conversations?
Do I think about this person frequently?
Do I seek their validation?
Do I compare my spouse to them?
Do I become unusually excited when they contact me?
If several of these answers are "yes," it may indicate weakening boundaries.
Emotional infidelity is rarely a sudden fall. It is usually a gradual shift of attention, affection, and emotional dependence.
Biblical Lessons
Samson and Delilah
Samson's downfall did not begin when he lost his hair.
It began when he repeatedly gave emotional access and personal information to someone who did not have his best interests at heart.
His story teaches us that:
Not everyone close to us should have unrestricted access to our hearts.
Emotional compromise often comes before visible failure.
Misplaced trust can lead to devastating consequences.
David and Bathsheba
David's fall did not begin with adultery.
It began with an unguarded moment, a wandering eye, and unchecked desire.
His story reminds us that:
Sin often begins with small compromises.
What is not resisted in its early stages becomes harder to overcome later.
Spiritual maturity does not make anyone immune to temptation.
How to Guard Your Heart in Marriage
Strengthen emotional intimacy with your spouse.
Maintain healthy boundaries with the opposite s*x.
Avoid sharing marital struggles with inappropriate people.
Be transparent with your spouse.
Guard your conversations and social media interactions.
Seek godly counsel when facing marital challenges.
Pray consistently for your marriage.
Fill emotional gaps through communication and intentional connection with your spouse.
Conclusion
Emotional infidelity rarely starts with an intention to commit adultery. It often begins with conversations, attention, sympathy, validation, and emotional dependence.
A conversation becomes comfort.
Comfort becomes attachment.
Attachment becomes affection.
Affection becomes compromise.
And compromise can eventually destroy trust and damage a marriage.
As believers, we must heed the instruction of Proverbs 4:23:
"Guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life."
A wise woman does not merely guard her actions—she guards her heart.

Lecture Summary
COVERING YOUR FAMILY IN PRAYER: WHY YOUR INTERCESSION MATTERS
Key Text: Ezekiel 22:30
Teacher: ~AyanfeOluwa
Introduction
Our discussion centered on the importance of interceding for our families and understanding why God desires us to stand in the gap for those He has entrusted to us.
What Is Intercession?
Intercession is standing in the gap and pleading on behalf of another person before God. It is love in action when words fail. Intercession is biblical, powerful, and effective.
As believers, we should not wait until challenges arise before praying for our families. We must intentionally and consistently cover them in prayer. The spiritual realm is real, even though it is not visible to the physical eye except as God chooses to reveal it.
Biblical Examples of Intercession
Abraham interceded for Lot and his household (Genesis 18:22–33).
Job continually offered sacrifices and prayers for his children (Job 1:5).
Moses stood in the gap and turned away God's judgment from the nation of Israel (Exodus 32:11–14).
These examples remind us that intercession is not optional; it is a responsibility we must embrace.
Why Does Intercession Matter?
1. God Designed Families to Be Covered by Prayer
When we pray, we stand between our loved ones and dangers they may not even be aware of.
2. Prayer Brings Divine Intervention
Every sincere prayer causes a shift. Danger can become protection, and judgment can be replaced with mercy.
3. God Chooses to Partner With Us
Although God can act without our involvement, He often waits for someone to stand before Him and say, “Lord, please intervene.”
4. Negative Family Patterns Can End With You
Intercession empowers us to break unhealthy cycles and establish godly legacies for future generations.
5. Prophecies Must Be Fulfilled
The enemy often fights against God's plans and promises. Through prayer, we contend for the fulfillment of God's purpose in our families.
6. Your Voice Matters
No one understands your family's struggles quite like you do. God knows everything, yet He still desires us to ask. As Scripture says:
"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much." (James 5:16)
7. Our Prayers Shape the Future
Prayer is both a weapon and an armor. The prayers we pray today can impact tomorrow, clearing obstacles and preparing the way for God's purposes to unfold.
Conclusion
God is not necessarily looking for lengthy prayers or eloquent words. What He desires is faithfulness, consistency, and a willing heart.
A simple but sincere prayer can cover tremendous ground. Our families matter to God, and so does our intercession for them.
Let us remain sensitive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Whether at home, in the kitchen, on the road, or anywhere else, whenever God nudges us to pray, let us respond promptly and faithfully.
Intercession is targeted prayer. Let us make it a lifestyle and a daily practice.
Prayer
May God's grace be sufficient for us all as we take up the responsibility of standing in the gap for our families. May our homes be preserved, protected, and established in His purpose, in Jesus' name. Amen.
Thank you, dear mummies, for your active participation and engagement. I appreciate every one of you.
Special thanks to our visionary and the administrators for this opportunity to serve. May God continue to bless, strengthen, and increase this ministry in Jesus' name.

Lecture Review
Topic: Thriving as a Wife Without Losing Yourself
Teacher: ~May Gee
"Have you ever felt that in caring for everyone else, you stopped caring for yourself?"
Marriage is a beautiful institution created by God. As wives, we wear many hats—we are partners, mothers, caregivers, counselors, prayer warriors, and managers of our homes. In the process of meeting the needs of everyone around us, it is easy to gradually neglect our own needs, dreams, passions, and identity.
However, thriving as a wife does not mean losing yourself in the process. It means growing, flourishing, and becoming all that God created you to be while faithfully fulfilling your responsibilities in marriage. A healthy marriage is not built by a wife who has disappeared; it is built by two whole individuals growing together in love, purpose, and mutual respect.
Remember Who You Are
Before you became someone's wife or someone's mother, you were first God's daughter. Your worth is not determined by how much you cook, clean, sacrifice, or provide for others. Your identity is rooted in Christ.
Ask yourself:
What gifts has God given me?
What dreams have I put on hold?
What makes me feel alive and fulfilled?
A thriving wife never forgets who she is in God. Like the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31:25, you can successfully fulfill multiple roles without losing your identity.
Many women define themselves only by their marital status, their husband's achievements, or their children's accomplishments. While these are blessings worth celebrating, they should not replace your personal identity. If all those titles were taken away today, who would you say you are?
Marriage Is a Partnership
Many women mistakenly believe that being a good wife means losing themselves completely. God never intended that.
Marriage is a partnership where both husband and wife are allowed to grow, contribute, and flourish. Your voice, opinions, goals, and feelings matter.
Thriving as a woman is not about competition or trying to become the man of the house. It is about standing confidently beside your husband as the woman God created you to be.
Prioritize Your Spiritual Growth
A thriving wife is first a believer.
Do not become so busy serving your family that you neglect your personal relationship with God. Don't stop praying because you're cooking. Don't neglect Bible study because you're washing clothes. Attend fellowships and intentionally grow spiritually.
Your family needs the woman God is shaping you to become.
Self-Care Is Not Selfish
You cannot continuously give love, patience, and support when you are emotionally, mentally, and spiritually exhausted.
Self-care is not selfish—it is necessary.
Rest when needed.
Maintain healthy friendships.
Exercise regularly.
Take care of your health.
Pursue your hobbies and interests.
A refreshed wife contributes more positively to her family than a burnt-out one.
Keep Developing Your Gifts
Marriage should never bury your God-given talents.
Whether your gift is teaching, business, leadership, singing, counseling, writing, or entrepreneurship, continue to develop it while maintaining balance in your responsibilities.
God gave you those gifts for a reason.
Set Healthy Boundaries
Being a good wife does not mean saying "yes" to everything.
You cannot pour from an empty cup. Healthy boundaries protect your peace, energy, and well-being, enabling you to serve your family from a place of strength rather than exhaustion.
Communicate Openly
One common mistake many wives make is expecting their husbands to automatically know what they need.
Healthy communication strengthens marriage.
Speak with love and honesty.
Share your concerns.
Express your dreams.
Discuss your struggles.
Ask for support when needed.
Communication prevents silent resentment and promotes understanding.
Build Godly Relationships
No woman is meant to do life alone.
Surround yourself with godly women who can encourage you, pray with you, offer wisdom, and hold you accountable. The strength of many women has been renewed through fellowship with other women of faith.
Embrace Grace, Not Perfection
You will not get everything right every day.
Some days the house may be untidy. Some meals may not turn out perfectly. Some plans may fail.
That's okay.
God's love for you is not based on your performance. Your value comes from the fact that God created you and Christ died for you.
Do not measure your worth by how much you do.
Conclusion
Thriving as a wife without losing yourself is not about choosing yourself over your family. It is about becoming the healthiest, strongest, and most fulfilled version of yourself so that you can love your family from a place of wholeness.
You are not only a wife. You are not only a mother.
You are a woman created by God with purpose, gifts, dreams, and a unique calling.
When a woman knows who she is in Christ, she becomes a stronger wife, a better mother, and a greater blessing to everyone around her.
God did not create you to disappear in marriage; He created you to flourish in it.
So, dear mummies:
Keep being loving wives, but don't forget to be you.
Keep pouring into your family, but don't forget to refill your own cup.
Keep helping others grow, but don't stop growing yourself.
Let's thrive, not just survive.
May God bless our homes and help us flourish as wives without becoming "missing persons" in our own marriages.

LECTURE OVERVIEW
Topic: HOW TO REMAIN POSITIVE DESPITE THE CHALLENGES HAPPENING IN NIGERIA
Teacher: Mrs. Sunny
Introduction
Being positive means maintaining a hopeful mindset, believing that things will work out for good, and having faith that God is able to turn every situation around.
Today, many people are facing various challenges such as economic hardship, insecurity, unemployment, spiritual struggles, and uncertainty about the future. Bad news seems to come from every direction, causing fear and anxiety.
However, as children of God, we must remember that God never promised us a life without difficulties. Instead, He promised to be with us through every season of life. Therefore, our hope should be anchored in God and not in our circumstances.
How Can We Remain Positive?
1. Put Your Complete Trust in God
When situations around us become difficult, we must continue to trust God's plans and purpose for our lives.
Bible Reference:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." — Proverbs 3:5-6
Even when we cannot see immediate results, we must trust that God is working behind the scenes. He has never failed, and He will not fail now.
2. Focus on God's Promises, Not the Problems
What we focus on greatly influences our attitude and outlook on life. Constantly dwelling on negative news can rob us of our peace and joy.
Bible Reference:
"For I know the plans I have for you... plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11
Instead of magnifying our problems, let us magnify God. As the saying goes:
"I don't tell God how big my problems are; I tell my problems how big my God is."
God's promises are far greater than any challenge we may face.
3. Maintain a Consistent Prayer Life
Rather than worrying about situations beyond our control, we should take them to God in prayer.
Bible Reference:
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." — Philippians 4:6-7
Prayer helps us release our burdens to God and receive His peace. Let us pray without ceasing and remain committed to the gathering of believers. Pour out your heart before God—He cares deeply about every concern.
4. Develop an Attitude of Gratitude
Gratitude shifts our focus from what is lacking to what God has already done.
Bible Reference:
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you." — 1 Thessalonians 5:18
A thankful heart remains hopeful. When we appreciate God's blessings, our spiritual "tank" stays full, and we become stronger to face life's challenges.
5. Surround Yourself with Positive and Godly Influences
The people around us greatly influence our thoughts, attitudes, and actions.
Bible Reference:
"Walk with the wise and become wise." — Proverbs 13:20
Choose relationships that strengthen your faith, encourage your growth, and inspire hope. Be intentional about protecting your mind from constant negativity and discouraging conversations.
6. Remember That Challenges Are Temporary
Every season has an end. Difficult times do not last forever.
Bible Reference:
"Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." — Psalm 30:5
No challenge is permanent. God's mercy remains constant, and His faithfulness never fails. Better days are ahead.
7. Keep Working Hard and Doing Good
Do not allow discouragement to stop your progress or prevent you from fulfilling your responsibilities.
Bible Reference:
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." — Galatians 6:9
Continue to work diligently, remain faithful, and trust God for the increase. Your labor is not in vain.
Conclusion
The situation in Nigeria may be challenging, but our confidence remains in God. He is still on the throne, His promises remain true, and He is able to make a way where there seems to be no way.
As mothers, wives, and guardians of our homes, we are called to be carriers of hope, faith, and light. We must draw strength from God daily and refuse to allow circumstances to dictate our words or attitude.
Let us learn to speak positively even when situations are difficult. Negative circumstances should never produce negative confessions from our mouths.
Positive Declarations
I will not be discouraged by the challenges around me.
My hope is in the Lord.
God will supply all my needs according to His riches in glory.
I shall overcome every challenge through Christ.
My future is bright because God is with me.
Nigeria shall arise and prosper by the grace of God.
Memory Verse
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." — Joshua 1:9

LECTURE RECAP
Topic: The Importance of Intercessory Prayer for Those Waiting on God
Teacher: Mrs Janet
Prayer comes in different forms and serves different purposes. Some types of prayer include thanksgiving, supplication, persistent prayer, and intercessory prayer. Tonight, our focus was on intercessory prayer—its meaning and its importance in the life of a believer.
What is Intercessory Prayer?
Intercessory prayer is the act of praying on behalf of others. It is a profound expression of love, compassion, and concern, reflecting the very heart of God. Interceding for others is biblical and occupies a significant place in Christian living.
Throughout the Bible, we see men and women who stood in the gap for others, desiring God's intervention and blessings in their lives. Some examples include:
Abraham interceding for S***m and Gomorrah
Jesus continually interceding for believers
The early church praying earnestly for Peter's release from prison
Esther standing in the gap for her people
Importance of Intercessory Prayer
It fosters unity, love, and mutual care among believers.
It encourages us to look beyond our own needs and bear one another's burdens, thereby fulfilling the law of Christ.
It allows believers to participate in God's redemptive work by standing in the gap and seeking His intervention in the lives of others.
Biblical References
Galatians 6:2
"Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ."
Romans 8:26-27
This passage reminds us that the Holy Spirit helps us in our weaknesses and intercedes for us according to God's will.
1 Timothy 2:1-3
Paul encourages believers to make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving for all people, including those in authority. Such prayers are good and pleasing to God.
Colossians 1:9-12
Paul demonstrates the power of intercession by continually praying for believers to grow in wisdom, spiritual understanding, and fruitfulness.
These scriptures clearly show that standing in the gap for others is both pleasing and acceptable to God.
Call to Intercession
As we prepare our hearts for this year's Baby's Banquet coming up on Friday, let us unite in one spirit and one voice to intercede for every TTC (Trying-to-Conceive) mother. Let us ask God to grant them the desires of their hearts and bless them with the gift of children.
There is tremendous power in praying for others, and when believers come together in corporate prayer, that power is multiplied.
Prayer Points
Thank God for His faithfulness, mercy, and goodness towards all the mummies on the LPMF platform.
Appreciate Him for the many babies He has blessed families with from January till date.
Trust God for even greater testimonies and celebrations before the end of the year.
Pray for the safe release of children who have been kidnapped by bandits.
Ask God to expose every evil agenda and bring His judgment upon all perpetrators of wickedness.
Pray for God's protection over our children and the children of our loved ones.
May the Lord continue to preserve, protect, and deliver us from every evil. Amen.
