MeCAHT had the opportunity to attend a three-day colloquium focused on the Operationalization and Effective Implementation of the National Policy Guidelines on Support Services for Victims of Trafficking (VoTs). The workshop brought together relevant stakeholders and service providers working in human trafficking, victim protection, rehabilitation, and support services.

The training provided an important platform for strengthening participants’ understanding of national policies, referral systems, rights-based approaches, and minimum standards for the effective provision of services to trafficked persons. It further served as a reminder that quality care begins with a well-supported caregiver.

The applied knowledge gained helps to strengthen survivor-centered practices, improve service delivery, and contribute more effectively to the rehabilitation, empowerment, and successful reintegration of survivors under our care. Overall, the workshop was a valuable learning and capacity-building opportunity that will contribute positively to the work and the effective management of the Safehouse and shelters.
