Our Kwara state Branch marked the 2026 World Red Cross Day with visits to Borstal Institute, Ganmo, and Children Reception Centre, Ilorin, spreading hope, kindness, and support.

Led by the Branch Secretary, Babaomo Ayodeji, the team engaged with the children, donated food and household items, and reinforced the spirit of humanity and voluntary service.

The institutions expressed appreciation for the humanitarian gesture. The outreach reflects the Branch’s commitment to dignity, care, and support for vulnerable groups.

In commemoration of this year’s World Red Cross Day, our Kogi Branch visited Stagi Cornerstone Orphanage to share love, laughter, and support with the children.

Humanitarian service goes beyond relief, it is about presence, compassion, and connection.

The Administrative Head of the orphanage expressed heartfelt appreciation for the kind gesture and prayers for continued strength and protection for volunteers serving humanity.

We remain committed to the Seven Fundamental Principles, ensuring that no one is left behind.

In commemoration of world Red Cross day, our Bauchi state Branch rallied through the streets of Bauchi city.

Uniformly, we matched through the ancient gates of Bauchi to Emirs palace gate where first aid simulation was performed, down to the Branch office where the day amazingly ended with quiz on first aid.

We are united in humanity, working tirelessly to transform despair into hope and vulnerability into strength. Thank you to our incredible donors and volunteers who make this vital work possible every single day.

As part of activities marking the 2026 World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day our Zamfara Branch Secretary, Instructor Ibrahim B. Garba, featured on Lead FM Gusau to highlight the activities and impact of the Nigerian Red Cross Society in the state.

The commemoration of the World Red Cross Day by our Imo Branch featured radio sensitization, rally, first aid training, simulation exercises, lectures, drama, cultural dance, and a novelty match.

The grand finale brought together key stakeholders including security agencies, emergency responders, and NGOs, who all commended the Red Cross for its humanitarian service.

The Branch appreciated partners, especially the British Red Cross , for their continued support in strengthening community resilience, and urged volunteers to remain committed to the Seven Fundamental Principles.
