A major step forward for adolescent girls in Kano State 💛

Last Friday, a major milestone was reached in Adamawa State following a 2-day technical workshop for the validation and review of the guidelines supporting the re entry of married and pregnant adolescents, and adolescent mothers back to school.

The Guidelines was officially endorsed by the Honourable Commissioner of Adamawa state Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development. This marks a powerful step forward for girls’ education and more inclusive learning opportunities across the state.

At our Sokoto Safe Space, out of school children are learning literacy through phonics taught entirely in their local language, helping them build confidence one sound and one word at a time ✨

We did it!! A big win for girls in Kano State.

Kano State Government has adopted the re-entry guidelines for married adolescents, and adolescent mothers. They can now have a real chance to experience quality learning through non formal pathways, and build the futures they deserve.

This is worth celebrating! This is what progress feels like and we hope to see more states across Nigeria take this same step.✨

A powerful step forward for girls’ education in Kano State 💫

On Friday 27 April 2026, a major milestone was reached as the Kano State Government officially signed and adopted the re entry guidelines for married adolescents and adolescent mothers making Kano the first state to adopt the National Re-entry Guidelines.

In partnership with , this moment marks more than a policy win. It is a door reopened. A second chance affirmed for girls who deserve to learn, grow, and thrive.
