Strategic Partnership Meeting with Naijayouthfund team of LEAP Africa

Our team at the Center for Peace Advocacy and Sustainable Development held a strategic partnership meeting with the Nigeria Youth Future Fund (NYFF) to explore areas of collaboration for the 6th Youth Model Africa Union Extraordinary Summit, taking place in Kigali, Rwanda, in November 2026.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss how we can deepen collaboration in advancing youth leadership, empowerment, civic participation, governance, peacebuilding, and sustainable development.

A key focus of the discussion was the upcoming YMAU Summit and opportunities to support the participation of young Nigerians on a continental platform where they will engage with young leaders from across Africa, develop practical skills in diplomacy and leadership, and contribute to conversations around environmental and climate justice, peace, governance, and African resilience.

Beyond the summit, CEPASD and NYFF also explored broader areas of collaboration to strengthen youth development and create more opportunities for young Nigerians to learn, lead, connect, and contribute to national and continental development.

We are excited about the possibilities that this engagement presents and look forward to building a meaningful and sustainable partnership with the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund.

Together, we can invest in Nigeria's young people and prepare a generation of leaders capable of shaping the Nigeria and Africa we want. 🇳🇬🌍

Youth Model African Union Summit is not a conference where participants only sit and listen.

You will represent an African Union Member State, make presidential speech, participate in debates, negotiate resolutions, present your country's position, work in committees, and contribute to policy discussions. Every delegate has a voice.

Diplomacy at its finest! 🇮🇪🇪🇺

It was an honour to have both His Excellency, the Ambassador of Ireland to Nigeria, alongside the Deputy Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Nigeria and ECOWAS, to the Diplomatic Conference 2.0.

Their participation underscored the importance of dialogue, strategic partnerships, and multilateral cooperation in addressing today's global challenges and inspiring the next generation of diplomatic leaders.

We are especially delighted to celebrate Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union, a significant responsibility that reflects Ireland's leadership in advancing unity, cooperation, and shared prosperity across Europe.
