We are delighted to welcome the Evaluation Team of the Nigeria’s National Action Plan on Youth, Peace, and Security (NAPYPS) 2021–2024

As Critical stakeholder and organization working on Youth Peace and Security in Nigeria 🇳🇬 we engaged with the team and provided them with needed support and answered all the evaluation questions.

The ECOWAS Peace, Security and Governance project (EPSG) is co-financed by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) for three years. Its aims to strengthen the implementation of the ECOWAS peace and security architecture at the regional and national levels throughout the conflict cycles, while promoting the values of democracy and human security. The EPSG project is implemented by a consortium of three implementing agencies: GIZ (lead agency), Expertise France and FIAP.

In Nigeria, Expertise France is the implementing agency responsible for the project’s youth, peace, and security component and will support the development and implementation of the second National Action Plan on Youth, Peace, and Security.

Expertise France, in close collaboration with the Nigeria Coalition on Youth, Peace, and Security (NCYPS), has commissioned an independent evaluation of Nigeria’s National Action Plan on Youth, Peace, and Security (NAPYPS) 2021–2024. The purpose of this evaluation is to generate a participatory, evidence‑based assessment of the first NAPYPS cycle, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and lessons learned, in order to inform the development of the second NAPYPS cycle planned for Q3 2026.

We provided the evaluation team with needed support and answered all the evaluation questions

We will continue to contribute to the development of second National Action Plan on Youth Peace and Security in Nigeria 🇳🇬
