The Jumu'ah khutba in Madina, centered around the revered Prophet Muhammad S.A.W., revisited the Surah of the previous Friday, Suratul Ala, and Surah Al-Ghashiya, a powerful reminder of the Day of Judgment. Surah Al-Ghashiyah, Chapter 88 of the Quran, contrasts the destinies of believers and disbelievers, serving as a call to reflection and spiritual growth. It opens with a profound inquiry directed at Prophet Muhammad and humanity: "Has the news of the Overwhelming Event reached you, O Prophet?" This pivotal moment will reshape lives, leaving none untouched. The Surah vividly portrays the fate of those who denied truth, depicting their anguish and regret, while the righteous will bask in joy and satisfaction, knowing their efforts have yielded eternal peace. Allah invites us to ponder over creation's wonders, such as camels and the universe's vast expanse, as signs of divine wisdom. The Prophet's role is to remind and guide, not compel, as guidance rests with Allah. Ultimately, Surah Al-Ghashiyah empowers us to choose our path, reflecting on our deeds and striving for success in the Hereafter, where every soul will be held accountable for their actions.
