HAPPY DEMOCRACY DAY, NIGERIA!

Democracy is more than elections, it is the protection of lives, the preservation of human dignity, and the creation of opportunities for all citizens to thrive.

As we commemorate Democracy Day, Prime Diamond Initiative for Community Health (PDICH) joins millions of Nigerians in calling for urgent action to address the persistent insecurity affecting communities across the nation.

We urge the government to strengthen security measures, combat the scourge of kidnapping, and facilitate the safe and immediate release of all kidnapped victims, particularly school children and their teachers who have been deprived of their freedom and right to education.

No child should have to choose between learning and safety. No parent should live in fear of losing a child to violence.

This Democracy Day, let us work together to build a Nigeria where every child is safe, every community is secure, and every citizen can live with hope.

Join us in advocating for safer schools, stronger communities, and the immediate release of all kidnapped children and educators.

Menstrual Health and Hygiene Is Everyone’s Responsibility

Menstrual health and hygiene should never be viewed as an issue that concerns only women and girls. It is a shared responsibility that requires the support of families, schools, communities, workplaces, policymakers, and society as a whole.

Creating a supportive environment for menstrual health means ensuring that everyone has access to accurate information, safe facilities, essential menstrual products, and the dignity they deserve. When we break the stigma surrounding menstruation, we empower girls and women to participate fully in education, work, and community life without barriers.

Menstrual health is a community matter that deserves collective attention and action. By promoting understanding, inclusion, and open conversations, we can build communities where no one is left behind because of a natural biological process.

Menstrual health and hygiene should be recognized as a societal issue, not solely the responsibility of women and girls.

Together, we can create a future where menstruation is understood, supported, and treated with dignity.

Join PDICH in advocating for menstrual dignity, breaking harmful stereotypes, and creating inclusive communities where everyone can thrive.

Share this message, start the conversation, and be part of the movement for menstrual equity and social inclusion.
