Project Othello will be working with young people between the ages of 13-19 years, especially those in Senior Secondary Schools, who are preparing for WAEC/NECO during the 2016-2019 period. The objective of IFL is to adapt the Shakespeare play, Othello (the approved literature book for SS students by the Federal Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Education of the 36 states, as well as the F

CT Education Secretariat), into a modern day film by using participatory and behaviour change communication methods. Working with a professional dramatist and scriptwriter, 15 secondary school-age students, between 13-19 years, will study the play, Othello, over a 2-week intensive workshop, and tell the story afresh in an adapted version. We have selected the FCT Vocational Training School in Kuje, FCT, as the location for this training workshop, and we expect the bulk of the students to come from the school.
