Zaituna is a 10-year-old pupil of LEA Piwoyi who lost both parents at a young age. Despite the challenges she has faced, she remains dedicated to her education and continues to excel in school.

Over the years, generous donors have supported her educational journey. As she prepared for her Common Entrance Examination, another financial barrier arose. To ensure this did not hinder her progress, FlexiSAF Foundation covered her examination fees.

With this support, Zaituna can now confidently sit for her exams and take the next step in her education. Her story highlights the impact of timely intervention in helping vulnerable children access opportunities and build brighter futures.

In celebration of Children’s Day, the team from FlexiSAF Foundation visited LEA Piwoyi Primary School to spend time with the pupils through learning, interaction, and fun activities.

From classroom conversations about dreams and career aspirations to exciting question-and-answer sessions with gifts, the outreach created moments of joy while reinforcing the importance of education and believing in a brighter future.

Seeing the excitement, confidence, and enthusiasm from the children reminded us why investing in young minds matters.

Happy Children’s Day to every child dreaming big.

Mercy and Blessing Abdulwasiu are sisters aged 7 and 9 who had never been to school. Their mother, a single parent, could only afford to pay school fees for one child, prioritizing the eldest with the hope that the child would later support the education of the younger ones.

After meeting with the FlexiSAF Foundation Team, Mercy and Blessing were enrolled in school. In addition, their mother was linked to Udama Initiative, where she received an interest-free loan to start a small business.

Today, Mercy and Blessing are now enrolled at LEA Piwoyi, where they are happy, learning, and thriving.

It’s truly encouraging to see our beneficiaries still in school, showing up every day with curiosity and a genuine passion for learning. Moments like these remind us why this work matters, investing in education is investing in futures being shaped right before our eyes.

Meet Jibril, a 16-year-old boy who relocated from Dei-Dei to Angwan Guragu in Karonmajigi, was unable to attend school due to financial challenges and instead worked with a shopkeeper.

Determined to continue his education, he persistently visited the Accelerated Learning Program mobile classroom seeking an opportunity to return to school. After his case was escalated, he secured sponsorship and, despite setbacks caused by missing academic records, he was eventually enrolled in JSS Karonmajigi in JSS3, where he is now preparing for his BECE.

His passion for education also inspired two friends, Suleiman and Abdullahi, who were later supported and enrolled in school as well.

We visited schools in Karonmajigi, Kuchingoro, and Piwoyi to follow up with beneficiaries of our Back-to-School initiative.

We met with principals and teachers, checked on students’ attendance, distributed notebooks and learning materials, and discussed upcoming mentorship sessions.

The visit reminded us that getting children back to school is just the beginning — consistent follow-up and community engagement are key to keeping them there.

We remain committed to supporting every child on their learning journey. 📚✨
