SALT is an acronym for the phrase "Sharing A Living Truth"
SALT is a foundation based on the word of God expressed in Matthew 5 vs. 13 - " You are the salt of the earth, ..." Salt is basically meant for seasoning, preservation and as an antiseptic. The foundation was conceived on Monday, 15th of March 1982 at the Alexander Brown Hall, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan and birthed on Frida
y, 15th of September, 2017 at Mercy Hall, DIFF Hospital, Abuja after an incubation period of 35 years, 6 months. It was inaugurated on Wednesday, 27th of September, 2017 through a launch of the "Window of Grace" program aimed at helping 14,000 couples plagued by infertility. This will be accomplished by collaborating with DIFF Hospital, Nigeria Ltd. to provide about 90% financial discount to deserving couples in need of In-Vitro fertilization(IVF-ET). In a world of increasing bitterness, decay, perversion, infertility and selfishness, there is an urgent need for a group of people who will be vanguards of truth to a world wallowing in the quagmire of ignorance, a beacon of hope to a world in need and a compass of direction to a people groping in darkness. There is no doubt that there is a need for a group of people committed to adding a little SALT to the earth and thus make our world a better place to live in. The world needs a group of people who will Share A Living Truth that we are bound together by one god who has a voice and a word for every situation. This voice and word of God is the Truth irrespective of the prevailing realities and facts on ground. THE VISION:
1. Regularly inform the world of the various provisions God has made available in every sphere of human endeavor but particularly in the medical world to ensure humanity fulfills the content, context and concept of our predestination. We are predestined to be fruitful, replenish the earth, multiply, subdue and exercise dominion in this world.
2. Create enabling platforms through collaboration, medical outreaches and deployment of resources and skills for people across the world to access the rich and inexhaustible provisions of heaven to fulfill the content, context and concept of our predestination.
3. Spread the love of God to individuals, families and homes experiencing bitterness, grief, despair, shame and painful stigmatization because of infertility through the exposition of the truth of god's word and lending a helping hand. MEMBERSHIP:
The foundation's president is Dr. John O. Idahosa while the wife of the President, Mrs. Mercy O. Idahosa is the Vice-President.
