Healthcare support should be part of every major gathering.

Medicaid Radio-Diagnostics & Clinics served as the Official Medical Support Partner for the Nigerian Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment (NAEGE) 2026 International Conference and Exhibition in Abuja.

During the conference, our team provided basic health checks, vital signs assessment, medical guidance and health education to participants.

It was a valuable opportunity to support the health and wellbeing of professionals, researchers, students and other attendees throughout the event.

The Numbers Tell the Story.

Over the years, the movement has reached 15 million+ people across social media, 20 countries, and thousands of participants, while creating space for health screenings, public education, advocacy and patient support.

In 2025 alone, participants had access to over 2,000 free health services, including mammograms, clinical breast exams, eye screenings, blood sugar checks, hepatitis testing and HPV vaccination.

And the work continues beyond the walk through initiatives such as PACE, Project Icon, Care Wheels, School Advocacy, Orange Box and 1CallAway.ng.

This is what One Walk. One Fight. means.

Walk Away Cancer is more than a 5KM walk. It is a movement that raises awareness, supports patients, promotes early detection, and brings communities together around a cause that affects us all.

This year, we’re aiming for 20,000 walkers. Every person who joins helps amplify a message that reaches families, workplaces, schools, and communities across Nigeria.

Did you know childhood cancer is one of the most underdiagnosed conditions in Nigeria? 🎗️

Not because the cancer is not there. But because most families do not know what to look for.

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month we are changing that.

Signs to watch for in your child:

Unexplained weight loss. Persistent fever. Unusual lumps. Extreme fatigue that rest does not fix. Paleness. Swollen lymph nodes.

None of these always mean cancer. But all of them deserve a doctor’s attention.

Childhood cancer caught early is childhood cancer that can be treated. The earlier the better the difference between early and late detection can be a child’s entire future.

Ovarian cancer is one of the deadliest cancers affecting women, largely because it is often diagnosed at an advanced stage.

In Nigeria, limited awareness, subtle symptoms, and delayed access to care continue to affect outcomes.

Persistent bloating, pelvic or abdominal pain, feeling full quickly, and frequent urination should not be ignored when they persist. While there is no routine screening test for women at average risk, early recognition and prompt medical evaluation can improve outcomes.
