PA DOSUMU:
AN EPITOMY OF SIMPLICITY AND ACCESSIBILITY,
I just woke up this morning to see this on Facebook. And sir, I want to sincerely appreciate that I was not reading an obituary but a celebration of not only a life well lived but a life lived consistently in humility in the fear of God.
Sir, not many may know you and not many may have heard of you but the few of us who know you know that you are a gem and your worth, undeniable. We may not have physically or materially appreciated you and sing your praises because of human limitations but now, I prefer the Angels and all the heavenly hosts, holding your title and your trophies in their hands, honour you soon.
You have never been distracted by any earthly titles, please remain focused and win that crown that is laid before you. Sir, it won't be long and we'll be done with the troubles, strives and trials of this world.
Sir, as I'm writing this piece I'm just getting overwhelmed with all the songs you thought brother Isaac and me all the way from Shoremekun which have refused to leave us but have guided us in the way of righteousness . One of those songs is this.
WILL THERE BE ANY STARS IN MY CROWN:
1. I am thinking today of that beautiful land
I shall reach when the sun goeth down
When through wonderful grace by my Saviour I stand
Will there be any stars in my crown.
Will there be any stars, any stars in my crown
When at evening the sun goeth down
When I wake with the blest in those mansions of rest
Will there be any stars in my crown.
2. In the strength of the Lord let me labor and pray
Let me watch as a winner of souls
That bright stars may be mine in the glorious day
When his praise like the sea billow rolls.
3. WILLIAM there be any stars, any stars in my crown
When at evening the sun goeth down
When I wake with the blest in those mansions of rest
Will there be any stars in my crown.
4. Oh, what joy it will be when his face I behold
Living gems at his feet to lay down
It would sweeten my bliss in the city of gold
Should there be any stars in my crown.
Will there be any stars, any stars in my crown
When at evening the sun goeth down
When I wake with the blest in those mansions of rest
Will there be any stars in my crown...
Even until very recently you where still sending me songs on Whatsapp, telling me how you were blessed listening to them. YAnd remember, too, that you promised to visit us in Abuja. A promise we are waiting to enjoy by God's grace.
Today, we join the hosts in Heaven, Papa Kumuyi and all members of Deeper Life worldwide to shout, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU PAPA DOSUMU" as we wish you many more years in the presence of Jesus and in the work of God.
God bless you and renew your strength like that of the Eagle.
