Zero Tolerance for Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM)
This act of cutting girls and altering their private parts without their permission is a crime in many countries including Nigeria.
Yet this act continues to be practiced as a form of culture.
This act exposes girls to pains, infections, can affect them during menstruation, cause painful s*x, the trauma lives with them from childhood to adulthood.
Someone started it, let's stop it.

Raising Teens
Raising children in all age groups require a lot of patience, wisdom, love and tolerance. Having said that, raising Teens then requires you to go a notch higher on these attributes.

*10 things about Teenagers (13 - 19 years)*
1. They are NOT ADULTS
2. Their Brains are not fully DEVELOPED
3. They need DIRECTION
4. They need LOVE
5. They need ATTENTION
6. They don't want to be JUDGED
7. They want to be UNDERSTOOD
8. They are still FORMABLE
9. They have most ACTIVE MINDS
10. They desire INDEPENDENCE

Let's invest time and effort in the raising of our teens.

School Campaign
Living in the consciousness of the reality of the Cyberspace is essential as life is gradually moving from the physical to the virtual.
Access to the Cyberspace makes our children vulnerable and increased Advocacy is needed to ensure their self awareness and protection.

Children Impact and Development Initiative is embarking on mass advocacy to Schools to educate on the threats and ways to stay safe on the Cyberspace.

Our focus will firstly be on Government Schools due to their high student population so we can have Peer Educators as well as under served schools.

We shall be donating Books and Brochures as reference materials to their School Library.

Allies of the Girl Child
If we must have a violence free world, we must be intentional about the raising of our children.
Helping them to realize early a sense of responsibility will be instrumental to this goal.

At our Girls Club Meeting in Tupechi Community, we invited some boys and explained to them that the Girls need them for support and protection.
