OUr DEMOCRACY DAY!
My fellow Nigerians, I stand before you today as the convener of the Conservative People's Assembly (CPA), a movement that has been born out of the dire need for transformative change in our beloved country.
We have witnessed, under the leadership of President Tinubu, a profound deterioration of our economic and social conditions. Inflation has reached unprecedented levels, leaving many of our citizens in a state of despair and hopelessness. It is clear that our current democratic system, which relies solely on popular votes, has failed to deliver the practical, expertly-informed governance that our country so desperately requires.
CPA is here to present a new political philosophy, one that is rooted in the principles of equal participation and recognition of the diverse voices that make up our nation. We believe that the time has come to constitutionally enshrine the role of traditional institutions and expert opinions in the decision-making processes of our government. This will ensure that policies are grounded in practical wisdom, cultural preservation, and sustainable economic management, rather than the whims of partisan politics.
Our agenda is comprehensive and far-reaching. We propose that only the deserving, not simply the popular, shall be granted the opportunity to lead our nation. Productivity shall be the focus of our rich economy, and we shall take bold measures to protect our currency against sabotage. Our youth, the future of Nigeria, shall be completely and necessarily empowered to shape the destiny of our country.
Crucially, the governance structure of our nation shall recognize the people's suffering and welfare, ensuring that their needs are at the forefront of all decision-making. Our political party shall be just, transparent, and free from impunity and favoritism. Those seeking political offices must first prove their service to the people prior to their candidacy.
This is a constitutionally legal movement for a better Nigeria, one that will fairly ensure that the wealth of our mother country is benefited by all, irrespective of our tribal and religious divides. We are driven by the conviction that Nigeria and Nigerians cannot afford to continue the economic and social slavery of modern times. History shall not hold us responsible for the distruction of our mother, Nigeria.
The time for change is now. CPA stands ready to lead our nation towards a brighter, more prosperous future. We invite you, our fellow Nigerians, to join us in this transformative journey. Together, we will build a Nigeria that is truly representative of the best interests of our people, a Nigeria that is guided by the wisdom of our traditions, the expertise of our most capable minds, and the unwavering commitment to social justice and economic prosperity for all.
