Today, as we observe the solemnity of Eid and the occasion of Children’s Day, the heart of Tessy Kids Foundation is heavy.
We celebrate the sanctity of childhood, but we cannot do so with empty joy when so many homes are incomplete.
We stand in solidarity with the families who are marking these days in tears, parents whose children remain in the dark, cold grip of captivity, and those who have been displaced from the very homes where they should be celebrating.
It is a tragedy of our time that the classroom, intended to be a sanctuary of knowledge and a bridge to a better future, has been turned into a place of fear.
It is a profound injustice that those who should be held to account for the theft of our children’s safety are met with rehabilitation and state support, while the victims, our children are left to suffer the consequences of insecurity.
To the parents in pain: We see you. We share your grief. We refuse to be silent while your children remain away from your embrace.
To our children in captivity and those in IDP camps: You have not been forgotten. You were born with a destiny that no amount of violence can extinguish. Your right to live, to learn, and to grow in peace is non-negotiable.
This Children’s Day, Tessy Kids Foundation renews its commitment.
We are not just here to provide gifts;
we are here to demand a safer world.
We call upon those in authority to prioritize the lives of our children over the comfort of their captors.
True leadership is not measured by the vehicles provided to perpetrators, but by the safety of the most vulnerable among us.
We pray for the safe return of every abducted child.
We pray for a nation where a child’s path to school is a path to progress, not a walk into a trap.
May this season of sacrifice remind us all that the greatest sacrifice is the one made for the protection of our children.
With heavy hearts and unwavering resolve,
The Management and Volunteers,
Tessy Kids Foundation
