*THE TEN PLUS HUMANITARIAN FOUNDATION CELEBRATES WORLD INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S DAY, TODAY, 27TH APRIL, 2025.*
This Foundation aligns with the United Nations, International, National or Regional Organizations reputed to serving the interest of children irrespective of gender, colour, religion, creeds et. al. today as the world stands still for them.
The Foundation has within the week running visited some challenged families, offered some level of assistance to cushion wide range of challenges they face.
Not resting on our oars, despite the strained financial channels from our willing foreign donors, of course, due to some unfriendly policies from the West against Africa and other continents, particularly on humanitarian ⛑️ aid and the international politics involved.
The Foundation continues to explore other avenues to mainstream the indigent children and however appreciates prayers and goodwill messages from those who are content enough in understanding our efforts based on certain dynamics and human factors around humanitarian delivery systems particularly in our clime.
For those caregivers who may be less appreciative, and think we should do much more, we avow to do much greater in the nearest future.
To all our children world over, we stand with you both in thick and thin. We will not hear your voices and look the other way round. You remain the bedrock of our collective hopes and aspirations.
We see a future so bright and less weaved of hurdles. We share in plights of those families in Ukraine whose children are casualties of recent drone attacks by Vladimir Putin and his commanding forces. We can't wait to hear that this war that has claimed innocent children is completely over, while families take stock of their multidimensional losses.
Far and above the saddening narratives at the international levels are other militating issues against our children in Nigeria, especially the Northeast, Northwest, Northcentral, South South and Southeast, each with its peculiar strands. While our children are mindlessly r***d, maimed, kidnapped, trafficked, bullied, psychologically sandwiched, abused, maligned, starved, socially stigmatized among the urban poor, denied education due to other hostile background factors; the Foundation continues to add voice to encourage more friendly and humane policies among critical stakeholders that will alleviate and mitigate multifarious problems gaslighting the growth and development of our children.
We ask and work for quick solutions to end insecurity by adding pressure to authorities to come up with actionable plans on a large scale to mitigate avoidable threats our children are exposed to daily in immediate environments.
We join the world today in celebrating our children in no small measure, hoping their tomorrow will be much better than today.
Viva our children! Happy Children's Day to you all.
