An Attack on Our Future: The Silence Must End.
Friends, fellow citizens, partners in justice—we stand here today with heavy hearts, yet with voices that will not be silenced.
In Kebbi State, the unspeakable has happened again. Our young girls, our daughters, the future mothers, teachers, and leaders of this nation, have been violently snatched from their schools, from the very places where they sought knowledge and opportunity. This is not just a crime; it is an act of war against innocence, an attack on education, and a blatant assault on the heart of Nigeria.
Zero Tolerance for Terrorism.
Let me be clear: We condemn this terrorism in the strongest possible terms. These kidnappers, these merchants of misery, seek to break our spirit, to inject fear into the veins of every parent who sends a child to school. We must stare back at their evil and refuse to blink. Their actions are cowardly, inhumane, and utterly unacceptable in a civilized society.
The Silent Cry of the Children
We speak of numbers, but we must never forget the reality. Each kidnapped girl represents a silent cry, a home shattered, and a dream deferred. Their parents are living through a nightmare that no family should ever endure. They are not just victims; they are our collective responsibility. Their safety is the paramount duty of this government and every security agency.
Our Demands and Our Resolve
Therefore, we issue an unambiguous demand:
Immediate Rescue: The Federal and State governments must deploy every necessary resource to ensure the safe, swift, and unconditional return of every single student. Time is not a luxury we have.
Accountability: We demand that the perpetrators and their networks be tracked down, brought to justice, and made to face the full wrath of the law.
Lasting Security: We need actionable, permanent solutions to secure our schools, our communities, and our highways. This cycle of tragedy must end now.
The kidnapping of girls is a tragedy that wounds the soul of our nation. We will stand united, we will pray for their immediate return, and we will hold our leaders accountable until every last one of our children is back home.
The safety of a girl child should never be a negotiation. It must be a guarantee.
