This video was recorded last year to mark another Teens Connect Africa anniversary. It never made it to social media, but watching it again today, the message feels just as timely. ❤️

The beautiful difference is that this year, I get to be in Zuba, Abuja, celebrating with the teenagers in person.

Six years of showing up. Six years of believing in the potential of young people. Six years of creating spaces for them to learn, grow, discover themselves and dream bigger.

I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has honoured this vision by supporting, serving, mentoring and investing in our teenagers. Every seed counts, and every life touched makes the journey worthwhile.

Today, we celebrate how far we’ve come—and look forward with even greater conviction to what lies ahead.

Happy 6th Anniversary, Teens Connect Africa! 🎉❤️

Happy 6th Anniversary to Teens Connect Africa! 🎉💜

Six years ago, God entrusted this vision into our hands. What began as a casual gathering of teenagers in the Zuba community has steadily grown into an ecosystem of transformation—connecting African teenagers to mentorship, resources, opportunities and experiences that help them discover and unleash their potential.

Today, we celebrate six years of showing up, building lives and nurturing dreams. We celebrate every teenager who has found confidence, clarity, community and the courage to become more. We also honour every parent, volunteer, mentor, partner, donor and team member who has believed in this vision and contributed to the journey.

Through every season, God has remained faithful. We are deeply grateful for His hand upon us and excited about the greater impact ahead as we continue unleashing the genius in one teenager at a time.

Join us today as we celebrate this beautiful milestone!

The deepest tribal marks aren’t always the ones you can see… 👀

At our June Monthly Mentorship Meeting in Zuba Community, our teens had an honest conversation about Tribal Marks—not just the ones on the skin, but the ones carried in our minds.

What happens when we’re raised to believe certain tribes are “like this” or “like that”? Those words, stereotypes, and biases can become invisible tribal marks that shape how we see people we’ve never even met.

One powerful reminder from the session:
✅One person’s actions should never become the identity of an entire tribe or ethnicity.

Our young people left challenged to replace assumptions with understanding, prejudice with empathy, and division with unity. Because that’s the kind of Africa we’re committed to building. ❤️🌍

A special thank you to Sir Obi Melody Nwakonobi Obinna Mehlody for facilitating such a thought-provoking session, and to the sponsors, Ford Foundation Foundation and Sir D**e Chukwumerije Center Chukwumerije, for investing in conversations that are shaping the next generation of visionary leaders.
