AREWA YOUTH ASSEMBLY COMMENDS HON. JAMES ABIODUN FALEKE FOR EXEMPLARY LEADERSHIP AND COMMITMENT TO DEVELOPMENT
The Arewa Youth Assembly, both at the National Headquarters and the Kogi State Chapter, extends heartfelt appreciation to Hon. James Abiodun Faleke for his outstanding leadership, humility, and deep commitment to the development of his people and Northern Nigeria at large.
Hon. Faleke, a proud son of Kogi West from Ekinrin-Adde in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, currently represents Ikeja Federal Constituency of Lagos State in the House of Representatives. Despite serving outside his state of origin, he has remained a steadfast advocate for the progress and empowerment of Kogi West and Okunland, using his influence and relationships in government to attract development to his homeland.
Through his quiet yet effective leadership, Hon. Faleke has contributed immensely to human and infrastructural development. His efforts have facilitated key appointments for sons and daughters of Kogi West into strategic national positions such as the Managing Director of Ajaokuta Steel Company, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), the Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment and Industrial Cooperation (NDIEC), the Controller-General of the Fire Service, and the Deputy Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), all from Kogi West. These appointments, achieved through his advocacy and persuasive engagement with the corridors of power, have brought pride and progress to Okunland and the entire Kogi West Senatorial District.
Beyond political appointments, Hon. Faleke has also made notable contributions to community development and youth empowerment. He has supported local security initiatives by donating operational vehicles to law enforcement agencies, empowered farmers with agricultural inputs worth millions of naira, and implemented empowerment programmes across Kogi and Lagos States. His interventions have impacted lives, created opportunities, and strengthened the economic foundation of his people.
The Arewa Youth Assembly recognizes Hon. James Abiodun Faleke as a sterling icon of Northern Nigeria, a man who has demonstrated that leadership is not about position, but about purpose, influence, and service. He represents the true spirit of selflessness and patriotism that young people across the North should look up to.
We also use this opportunity to call on other Northern leaders, both at the federal and state levels, to emulate Hon. Faleke’s example by working relentlessly to bring the dividends of democracy and development to their people. Leadership is meaningful only when it translates into real progress and prosperity for ordinary citizens.
As an Assembly, we urge Hon. Faleke to continue with this noble path of service and advocacy. His model of leadership, marked by humility, impact, and inclusiveness, stands as a guiding light for a new generation of leaders in the North and across Nigeria.
The Arewa Youth Assembly remains proud of his achievements and prays that Almighty God will grant him the strength, wisdom, and grace to continue his good works for Okunland, Kogi State, and Nigeria at large.
