We Are ADC.
Barely few hours after the African Democratic Congress announced its formidable vice-presidential ticket, the desperate, trembling hands of the APC-led judiciary came into play to stifle our collective voice. This is nothing but a cowardly, calculated maneuver to reshape the political landscape in favor of dominant interests. They fear the strength of our movement. They fear the reality of an Atiku-Amaechi rescue ticket. They are terrified that the ADC has become their main challenger, so they resort to these tired, scripted judicial theatrics to silence the opposition.
This ruling is a direct attack on our democracy. It is a cynical attempt to shrink the political space and enforce a two-party monopoly that suffocates fresh ideas. By targeting the ADC and other parties, they are essentially telling millions of Nigerians, the youth, the grassroots, the hopeful, that their political participation counts for nothing if their platform is not a giant. This disenfranchisement is a recipe for anarchy. You are effectively stripping the electorate of their right to associate, proving that this administration is gripped by the fear of being sent back to Lagos.
Let us be clear: this judgment holds no water. Under Section 225A of the Constitution, the benchmarks for existence are clearly defined, and the ADC has stood firm. INEC, the only body constitutionally empowered to oversee our elections, is being used as a pawn by private entities with no locus standi. We see through this. This is Tinubu’s handwork, and it is the clearest sign that they know the ground is shifting beneath their feet. They are desperate to ensure only Tinubu stays on the ballot, but this is a gamble that will fail.
We are sad, yes, not because we are weak, but because it is painful to witness the continuous degradation of our institutions by those who once rode the back of democracy to power. Is this country still truly Nigeria? We are witnessing a joke of the century, an academic exercise in tyranny, the mask is off. Every Nigerian who believes in liberty must see this for what it is: the death rattle of a regime that knows it has lost the mandate of the people.
Do not be intimidated by this judicial noise. We are not just an ADC; we are a movement that cannot be cracked open. We will exhaust every legal avenue, and we will mobilize. If they think they can scare us with orders from above, they have deeply underestimated the resolve of the Nigerian people. To our supporters: do not lose hope. There will be fire on the mountain if they attempt to turn this nation into a one-party state. We are marching forward, and no amount of APC-orchestrated confusion will stop us from reclaiming our future.
