Today, on International Day of the Boy Child, LICDA celebrates every boy and reaffirms the need to raise boys who are protected, emotionally healthy, responsible, and empowered.

This year’s theme reminds us that boys also need safe spaces, guidance, mentorship, and opportunities to thrive. At LICDA, our work on human rights, youth engagement, and community dialogue helps young boys understand their rights, build positive values, and grow into responsible leaders and peacebuilders.

We believe that investing in the boy child is essential to building safer and stronger communities for all.

Happy International Day of the Boy Child from all of us at LICDA.

From learning to leading 💡

One of our trained paralegals at LICDA is already putting knowledge into action by facilitating a sensitization session with members of the Catholic Youths Association of Nigeria, St. Matthew Catholic Church Karmo, Abuja on fundamental human rights and civic responsibilities.

This engagement reflects our Train-the-Trainer approach, where young people (paralegals) move beyond learning to actively share the knowledge gained within their communities. By breaking down key rights and responsibilities, the session is helping young people better understand their rights and role in promoting justice, accountability, and active citizenship.

The Lift for Citizens Development and Advancement (LICDA) celebrates women who give their voices, leadership and courage to advance human rights and strengthen communities.

When women give to justice, advocacy, and civic engagement, society gains stronger institutions, inclusive development, and a future where dignity and rights are upheld for all.

Happy International Women's Day from all of you at LICDA!!!
