Just like Bakura, so many children have lost touch of what education is.

In communities where dreams are often overshadowed by hardship, Care Best Initiative (𝐂𝐁𝐈) chose to create a space where creativity could speak louder than limitations.

Through the School-based Innovation and Creativity Summit, over 300 children discovered the power of expression, confidence, imagination, and possibility.

This recognition reflects years of dedicated humanitarian service through impactful interventions across vulnerable communities, strengthening advocacy for peace, empowerment, resilience, and social transformation.

𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲

As cholera cases continue to rise across parts of MMC and Jere LGAs in Borno State, there is an urgent need for strengthened public awareness, preventive action, and coordinated humanitarian response to protect vulnerable communities.

At Care Best Initiative, we join humanitarian partners and public health stakeholders in calling for immediate community action against the spread of cholera and other waterborne diseases.

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼:
✔ Drink clean and safe water
✔ Maintain proper environmental sanitation
✔ Avoid open defecation
✔ Seek immediate medical attention when symptoms are observed

Wash hands regularly with soap and running water at every critical moment such as:
• after using the toilet,
• before and after meals,
• after changing diapers,
• after touching corpses.

Together, through collective awareness, hygiene promotion, WASH interventions, and rapid response efforts, we can help prevent further spread and safeguard lives.

We call on humanitarian partners, United Nations OCHA Nigeria, UNFPA Nigeria, INGOs, NGOs, donors, health actors, and community leaders to strengthen ongoing prevention and emergency response efforts across affected communities.

Support ongoing public health and WASH response efforts by partnering, donating, or amplifying community awareness to help protect vulnerable populations.

In the first quarter of 2026, the CBI Health Team provided life-saving healthcare services to 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 vulnerable people across underserved communities, ensuring access to essential medical care, hope, and dignity where it is needed most.

Fanne Mohammed's testimony gives us hope. She struggled with numbness in her fingers and toes, alongside severe muscle cramps that affected her daily life. But through access to skilled care at the 𝗗𝘂𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗯𝘆 𝗖𝗕𝗜'𝘀 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹, she received treatment, recovered, and found hope again.

Her story reflects why strengthening primary healthcare, expanding life-saving services, and reaching underserved communities remain urgent.

𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟴 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 still lack access to essential healthcare services in 2026, leaving vulnerable communities exposed to preventable illnesses, untreated conditions, and avoidable suffering.
