l Organization (NGO) founded in 2004 by Peace-loving and law-abiding women and youth to save lives and incorporated with the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC/IT/No.60576) 2013. IDS VISION:
IDS envision a society where marginalized groups are saved. IDS MISSION STATEMENT:
IDS mission is to save marginalized women, youth, children and other minority groups through peacebuilding, food security and livelihoods, education, health (WASH) and promotion of climate change resilience and gender equity in Africa. To strengthen vulnerable groups’ resilience for food security and livelihoods through general food distribution, training, and empowerment in Agriculture and income generation activities in Africa.
2. To promote gender equity and protection of vulnerable women, youth, children and other minority groups through advocacy, awareness creation, and empowerment in Africa.
3. To enhance marginalized children’s rights to education through back-to-school campaigns, construction of schools, provision of educational materials to learners and training of teachers in Africa.
4. To build resilience and mitigate the impact of climate change through advocacy, education and empowerment in Africa.
5. To improve the health and nutritional status of the vulnerable groups through WASH and improve access to healthy food and empowerment in Africa.
6. To promote peaceful co-existence by preventing and countering violent extremism (P/CVE), capacity building, advocacy, and sensitization programs in Africa.
