Conflict can be resolved when children are equipped with the right knowledge and teachers are empowered to nurture a culture of peace.

Yesterday, Four18 Humanitarian Initiative, in conjunction with Africa Arise International, held a one-day outreach for the pupils and teachers of Arise Academy themed, “Peace and Reconciliation in IDP Camps: Empowering Teachers and Students in Global Citizenship Education.”

Through practical activities, the children learned simple and constructive ways to resolve conflicts, while teachers were equipped with approaches for integrating peace and reconciliation into everyday teaching.

It was a day of learning, reflection and empowerment, reminding us that building peaceful communities begins with educating and empowering the next generation.

On this World Humanitarian Day, we celebrate the privilege of serving humanity through Africa Arise International.

From establishing Arise Academy, a free school providing education to IDPs and less-privileged children, to providing free books, uniforms and learning materials, our commitment is to restore hope and create opportunities.

Through our Feed-A-Child-A-Day Initiative, we provide meals weekly. Through the IDP Awareness Support Initiative (IASI), we amplify the voices of IDPs and advocate for support and better living conditions. Our Barbing & Haircare Initiative is equipping and empowering lives, and we are looking forward to starting an Orphanage and Mini Clinic to expand our impact.

And these are just some of the things we are doing. There is so much more we can do together.

This World Humanitarian Day, join us in doing more, reaching more people and restoring more hope.

At the 5th Edition of the IDP Awareness Support Initiative (IASI), our keynote speaker, Former Chief Chuks Ulokwe, delivered a powerful charge to the public: we must do better in supporting Internally Displaced Persons.

He called on individuals, organizations, and the wider community to move beyond awareness to advocacy, meaningful partnerships, and empowerment—helping IDPs not only meet their immediate needs but also build pathways toward dignity, self-reliance, and a better future.

The call is clear: Advocate. Partner. Empower. Do better.
