They asked. We listened. We delivered.

Three weeks ago, a group of Aso-Ofi weavers in Ilorin reached out to the and told us exactly what was holding their businesses back.

Yesterday, every single one of them got what they asked for — down to the last item on the list. Weavers came in from wards across Ilorin West, Ilorin East and Ilorin South, and not one person left empty-handed.

That’s decent work taking root at the grassroots , and a real step away from poverty for the families behind every loom .

Here’s why this matters:
Aso-Ofi isn’t just cloth. It’s been putting food on tables for generations. It’s history you can wear. So when we stand with the people behind the loom, we’re protecting something much bigger than a business — we’re protecting a piece of who we are.

To every weaver who showed up yesterday — thank you for keeping the loom alive! 💙

Yesterday was a good day.

The disbursed financial support to women entrepreneurs through our Women Financial Empowerment Support Programme, and what really stood out were the stories — women building businesses, raising families, and still showing up every day for their communities.

For many of them, this support is the extra push they need to grow what they’ve worked so hard to build.

We’ll be checking in monthly to see how their businesses are growing, because what matters is not just giving support, but seeing real progress over time.

To every woman who received support yesterday, we are rooting for you. Go and do great things!

Progress isn’t measured by the height of a crane, but by the grit of the hands that build it. Today, we salute the architects of our nation—our workers.

So today, if you can, put your feet up and relax—you’ve more than earned it.

Happy International Workers’ Day!

Earlier this month, the fulfilled our promise to the Muslim Ummah at Eyonbo-Anobi Mosque, Ipata, and Alore Mosque with the installation of solar power systems in both mosques.

Now, both mosques have steady and reliable electricity supply. For worshippers, that means prayers without interruption and a space that feels calm, safe, and ready at all times.

We are grateful to the Imams and members of both communities for their warm reception and kind prayers for the Foundation, our founder, and everyone involved.

We made a promise. We kept it.

Ramadan reminds us that the true meaning of fasting goes beyond abstaining from food. It is also about compassion, community, and looking out for one another.

That spirit continues to guide the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation’s annual Iftar Feeding Programme. Across several communities, volunteers have been sharing meals at sunset so that people can come together to break their fast.

As this year’s programme continues, we remain grateful to everyone who has helped make it possible.

Across many of the communities we work with, women are often the ones holding things together — raising families, pursuing education, building small businesses, and supporting others along the way.

Today we recognise that strength and remain committed to creating more opportunities for women to thrive.

Happy International Women’s Day.

A few weeks ago, community leaders in Ajikobi Central Ward reached out about students who were ready for their WAEC exams but couldn’t afford the fees. We took it seriously and swung into action, meeting the students at the ward secretariat to reassure them they wouldn’t be left behind.

Today, 29 students have been successfully registered for the 2026 May/June WAEC.

They are drawn from six secondary schools in Ilorin:

Al-Adabbiyah Kamaliyah Senior Secondary School
Government Girls Day Secondary School, Pakata
Banni Community Secondary School, Ogidi
Government High School, Adeta
Oke-Apomu Senior Secondary School
Ansarul-Islam Secondary School, Ogidi

For these students, this is more than an exam slip.
It is relief for parents who had run out of options.
It is dignity for young people who feared being left behind by their classmates.
It is proof that opportunity should never depend on circumstance alone.

We remain grateful to the community stakeholders who partnered with us to make this possible.

29 candidates.
29 restored hopes.
One simple belief: education must remain within reach.

We know it hasn’t been the easiest year for many, which makes this holiday even more important.

Let us take this time to appreciate the gift of life and the people around us. May this season bring you peace and genuine happiness.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays,
From all of us at the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation.

Happy Birthday to our Founder, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki!

There is the public figure everyone knows, and then there is the man we have the privilege of working with every day. You are the leader who remembers names, asks about the specific details of a patient’s recovery, and constantly challenges us to find ways to help just one more person.

Thank you for never tiring of doing good, and for pushing us to ensure every resource reaches the people who need it most.

We are proud to be on your team, Sir.

Talent is equal, but opportunity isn’t. We will keep working to close that gap nationwide. Happy International Day of the Girl Child!

This year, the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation sponsored students to attend summer classes across Kwara State. When the results came in, many of the girls recorded the top scores.

To us, this was a confirmation of a simple truth: when the girl child is given the opportunity, she will rise to the occasion and often exceed expectations.

Today, as we join the nation and the world to mark the , we must continue to believe in the potential of our young women and girls. More importantly, we must create the enabling environment for them to succeed, while trusting them to reach for their fullest potential.

We will continue to play our part. I encourage each and every one of us to do the same.

Happy International Day of the Girl Child.
