On 20th June 2026, Debs Global Empowerment Initiative proudly joined the MTN Foundation Walk Against Substance Abuse, lending our voice to the campaign against drug and substance abuse among young people and within our communities.

The awareness walk brought together individuals, organizations, community leaders, and advocates who are passionate about promoting healthier lifestyles and preventing substance abuse. Through the event, participants helped spread the message that informed choices, education, and community support are essential in addressing the growing challenge of substance abuse.

At Debs Global Empowerment Initiative, we are committed to empowering young people with the knowledge, skills, and support they need to make positive life decisions. Our participation in this walk reflects our dedication to creating awareness and encouraging young people to stay away from harmful substances and embrace a future filled with purpose and opportunity.

We appreciate the MTN Foundation for spearheading this impactful initiative and bringing stakeholders together for a common cause. Together, we can build a generation that is informed, empowered, and free from substance abuse.

🌸 EMPOWERHER GIRLS’ TALK SHOW

What happens when girls are given a safe space to speak, share their experiences, and learn from one another?

Today, our girls took part in the very first EmpowerHer Talk Show, where they discussed a topic that affects every young woman: Healthy Self-Esteem.

From self-worth and confidence to peer pressure and the impact of negative words, the girls shared their perspectives on what it means to value yourself and recognize your worth.

At EmpowerHer, we believe that empowering girls goes beyond teaching skills. It also involves helping them develop the confidence to make healthy decisions, build positive relationships, and pursue their dreams without feeling limited by fear or self-doubt.

We are proud of these young ladies for speaking up, sharing their thoughts, and reminding us that every girl deserves to know her value.
