OPERATION WAR AGAINST DRUGS IN MAGONGO
MAGONGO SAYS NO TO DRUGS
OUR CONDEMNATION
We, the people of Magongo, strongly condemn the sale, distribution, and abuse of illicit drugs within our community. The devastating effects of drugs are visible all around us, and we can no longer remain silent.
1. Drugs = Death
Substances such as Tramadol, Codeine, Colorado, and other harmful drugs are destroying the lives of our young people. Dreams are being shattered, schools are being abandoned, and lives are being lost. We refuse to watch another generation perish.
2. Drugs = Crime
Drug abuse fuels theft, violence, cultism, insecurity, and other criminal activities. Many of the challenges facing our community today are linked directly or indirectly to drug abuse.
3. Drugs = Broken Homes
Parents are heartbroken, families are torn apart, and innocent children are suffering because of the destructive influence of drugs. The social and economic cost is too great to ignore.
4. Silence = Betrayal
Anyone who knows those involved in the sale or distribution of drugs and chooses to remain silent is contributing to the destruction of our community. Silence in the face of this menace is a betrayal of Magongo and its future.
OUR POSITION
Magongo shall not become a haven for drug dealers and drug abuse.
We choose Life.
We choose Peace.
We choose Development.
We choose Our Children.
OUR DECLARATIONS
1. We declare that every drug-selling point and every network promoting drug abuse in Magongo shall be exposed and brought to justice through lawful means.
2. We call upon every young person trapped in drug abuse to seek help, embrace rehabilitation, and return to a productive and meaningful life.
3. We declare that the future of Magongo belongs to responsible, disciplined, and hardworking citizens, not to drugs and criminality.
OUR CALL TO ACTION
We call on:
- Traditional rulers
- Community leaders
- Religious leaders
- Youth groups
- Women associations
- Security agencies
- The Local Government Council
- NDLEA and other relevant authorities
to unite and take decisive action against drug abuse and drug trafficking in Magongo.
Together, we can reclaim our community.
