OUR YOUTHS SPOKE. THE DOORS OF OPPORTUNITY OPENED.
For too long, many indigenous youths in the FCT have felt forgotten — qualified, strong, willing to work, but without access to opportunities. https://youtu.be/DcPjhcpjRvU?si=f16Z_tP1-h1owD9W

We refused to stay silent.
We organized a Town Hall Meeting that brought unemployed youths face-to-face with managers of employment and empowerment programs. It was not just a meeting — it was a moment of hope.
Our youths asked hard questions.
They shared their struggles.
They demanded inclusion.
And for the first time, many felt seen and heard.

This gathering is part of our commitment to strengthen the economic, political, and cultural identity and rights of the Original Inhabitants of the Federal Capital Territory, with support from MacArthur Foundation through Resource Centre for Human Rights and Civic Education (CHRICED).

When opportunity meets preparation, transformation begins.
We are not just talking about empowerment.
We are building bridges.
We are creating access.
We are restoring dignity.

The future of FCT indigenous youths must be secure, inclusive, and full of opportunity.
This is only the beginning.

Abuja @50
Built on ancestral land.
Powered by unheard voices.

As Abuja marks 50 years,
we reflect not in celebration alone but in remembrance of the struggles, sacrifices, and resilience of the original inhabitants of the Federal Capital Territory.

The journey has not been easy.
Marginalization remains real.
Yet our commitment to peace, unity, culture, and justice remains unshaken.

Recognition is not a favour.
It is a right.
