Children drop out of school for many reasons, and each one tells a deeper story of vulnerability and inequality.
At Child Shield Initiative, we recognize that school dropout is not just an educational issue, it is a protection concern.
Many children leave school due to poverty, where families struggle to afford fees, uniforms, and learning materials. Others are forced out by child labour, helping to support their households instead of learning.
For girls especially, child marriage and teenage pregnancy cut short their education and limit their future opportunities. In some communities, insecurity and conflict make schools unsafe, forcing children to stay at home.
Additionally, lack of parental support, poor learning environments, and bullying can discourage children from continuing their education.
At Child Shield Initiative, we believe every child deserves a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. By addressing these root causes through advocacy, community engagement, and child protection programs, we can keep children in school and secure their future.
