What an incredible and unforgettable World Menstrual Hygiene Day celebration at the grassroots Community!

Today, our hearts are filled with gratitude as we reflect on the overwhelming love, support, and generosity that made this outreach a resounding success. What we witnessed was far beyond our expectations. It was a powerful demonstration of what can happen when individuals, organizations, and communities come together for a common cause.

At Dcenturyvibes Global International Foundation (DGIF), we extend our deepest appreciation to all our partners, donors, volunteers, community leaders, health workers, supporters, and well-wishers who contributed in diverse ways towards the success of this program. Whether through financial contributions, donations of menstrual hygiene products, logistics support, advocacy, technical expertise, or your physical presence, every contribution mattered and made a difference.

It is also important to acknowledge that this outreach was originally planned to commemorate World Menstrual Hygiene Day on May 28. However, in recognition of and respect for the cultural and religious context of the Community, we thoughtfully rescheduled the program to June 6 to allow families and community members to fully observe the Eid-el-Kabir (Sallah) celebrations. This decision reflects our commitment to community-centered programming, listening, respecting local traditions, and ensuring that our interventions are inclusive, culturally sensitive, and accessible to the people we serve. The overwhelming turnout and support we received reaffirm that meaningful impact is achieved when development efforts are built on mutual respect, trust, and partnership with communities.

This experience has reaffirmed that sustainable impact is possible when communities embrace collective responsibility. We are witnessing a shift beyond donor dependence towards meaningful local resource mobilization, community ownership, and shared commitment to the well-being of girls and women.

We also celebrate and appreciate the unwavering faith, confidence, resilience, and visionary leadership of our Executive Director, Oluwafunke Olayemi MTRCN//B.Sc//MPH//MHC Founder, whose passion for ensuring that every girl child and woman, especially those in underserved communities, is reached with dignity, knowledge, and support continues to inspire us all. Her commitment to this vision reminds us that one determined individual can ignite a movement.

To our valued partner, The Eyvee Initiative Ivy Mark LL.B, B.L, LL.M, and every stakeholder who believed in this mission, thank you for standing with us. Your support has not only provided menstrual hygiene resources but has also restored confidence, dignity, and hope.

As we move forward, we remain committed to creating healthier, empowered, and inclusive communities where no girl is left behind.

Together, we are changing lives.

Thank you to all those who believe in the vision.

Dcenturyvibes Global International Foundation (DGIF) actively participated in the 1st National Conference on Youth, Peace, and Security, held today in Abuja!
Themed “Bridging Policy and Practice: Multistakeholders Engagement in Youth, Peace and Security Frameworks Implementation,” the conference served as a powerful platform for collaborative dialogue between civil society, youth organizations, and government institutions.

A major highlight of the event was the official launch of the BBFORPEACE New Strategic Plan (2026-2030), which sets a clear, actionable roadmap for youth-led peacebuilding, conflict prevention, and sustainable development across Nigeria.

At DGIF, we believe that sustainable peace cannot be achieved without the active and structured inclusion of young people. We remain committed to championing these frameworks and turning policy commitments into impactful grassroots action.

Thank you to the organizers and partners, the Federal Ministry of Youth Development (FMYD), Building Blocks for Peace Foundation (BBFORPEACE), and the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR), for putting together such a timely and crucial event.

In commemoration of the upcoming World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026, Dcenturyvibes Global International Foundation (DGIF) will be sensitizing through a grassroots community outreach focused on menstrual hygiene awareness, dignity, and empowerment for women and girls.

💜 Theme: “Empowering Women & Girls Through Menstrual Hygiene Awareness and Dignity”
📅 Date: May 28, 2026

Across many underserved communities, menstrual health remains surrounded by stigma, limited access to hygiene products, and inadequate education. Many young girls and women still lack the knowledge, support, and resources needed to manage menstruation safely and confidently.

Through this outreach, DGIF will:
✅ Conduct community sensitization and health education.
✅ Engage women and girls in practical menstrual hygiene discussions.
✅ Demonstrate proper hygiene practices.
✅ Distribute reusable sanitary pads through the support of our partners and sponsors.
✅ Promote dignity, confidence, and community inclusion

At DGIF, we believe that menstrual health is not just a health issue, it is a matter of dignity, education, equity, and human rights. This initiative is also a call for collaboration. We welcome partners, sponsors, donors, advocates, and organizations who are passionate about advancing the health and wellbeing of women and girls at the grassroots level.

Together, we can break stigma, bridge gaps in access, and empower communities through practical action.

Introducing the GreenHER Eco Resilience Initiative 💚

At Dcenturyvibes Global International Foundation (DGIF), we believe that empowering women and girls is one of the strongest pathways to building healthier, cleaner, and more resilient communities.

Today, we are proud to spotlight the GreenHER Eco Resilience Initiative, a climate action and environmental health movement focused on equipping women and girls with the knowledge, leadership, and opportunities needed to drive sustainable change within their communities.

Through this initiative, we are promoting:

🌍 Community Resilience
👩🏽‍🤝‍👩🏾 Women & Girls Empowerment
💡 Green Entrepreneurship & Advocacy

GreenHER is more than a project.
It is a movement that encourages women and girls to become environmental champions, advocates for healthier living, and leaders of sustainable solutions.

We envision communities where women and girls are not only protected from environmental challenges but are also leading the conversations and actions that create lasting impact for future generations.

Together, we can build a cleaner, greener, healthier, and more resilient future.

At Dcenturyvibes Global International Foundation (DGIF), we strongly believe that empowering women with knowledge, innovation, and leadership opportunities is essential for sustainable development.

We are proud to share that our Executive Director, Oluwafunke Olayemi, recently participated in the AI for Women in Development & Public Service Training organized by Africa Hub for Innovation & Development in partnership with AI4SID and University of Toronto.

This impactful training brought together a cohort of senior women leaders across sectors to strengthen their capacity in understanding and applying Artificial Intelligence within development and public service systems. The sessions provided practical insights into how AI can support evidence-based decision-making, improve service delivery, and drive innovation in addressing complex societal challenges.

At DGIF, we recognize that technology particularly Artificial Intelligence is rapidly shaping the future of development practice. For organizations working in health, community development, and social impact, building digital and AI capacity is becoming increasingly important in designing smarter and more responsive programs.

The participation of our Executive Director in this initiative reflects DGIF’s commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and leadership development, ensuring that our work remains relevant in a rapidly evolving global landscape.

We also commend the organizers and partners Africa Hub for Innovation & Development, AI4SID, and University of Toronto for creating a platform that amplifies women’s leadership in emerging technologies and public sector transformation.

As an organization dedicated to advancing community development and social impact, DGIF looks forward to leveraging the insights gained from this training to strengthen our programs, enhance innovation, and continue contributing to inclusive development.

Together, we can build a future where women are not only participants in innovation but leaders shaping it.

In commemoration of World Tuberculosis Day, Dcenturyvibes Global International Foundation (DGIF) joins the global community in raising awareness and reaffirming our commitment to ending Tuberculosis.

Tuberculosis remains one of the world’s deadliest infectious diseases, yet it is preventable, treatable, and curable. Behind every statistic are real human stories, families affected, dreams disrupted, and communities carrying the burden of a disease that should no longer be claiming lives in our time.

At DGIF, we recognize that ending TB goes beyond medical interventions. It requires strong community engagement, sustained advocacy, innovation, and the collective commitment of governments, partners, and communities. We remain dedicated to raising awareness, amplifying the voices of TB survivors, and advocating for equitable access to timely diagnosis, treatment, and quality care for all.

As we mark this important day, we call on everyone to help break the stigma surrounding TB, strengthen health systems, and support efforts that ensure no one is left behind.

Together, we can accelerate progress toward the global goal to End TB by 2030 and build a future where tuberculosis is no longer a threat to life, dignity, and well-being.

Yesterday, the team at Dcenturyvibes Global International Foundation (DGIF) had the privilege of participating in a powerful International Women’s Day Policy Dialogue centered on one urgent truth: No woman should die while giving life.

Convened under the theme “Rights, Justice and Action – Free Emergency C-Section to Save Lives as a Human Right,” the dialogue, led by Dr. Mabel Adinya Ade, Founder and Executive Director of Foundation - Adinya Arise Foundation and Coordinator of the FCT Abuja Local Coalition Accelerator, brought together policymakers, development partners, civil society leaders, and advocates committed to transforming maternal health in Nigeria.

The dialogue highlighted a critical reality: maternal deaths in Nigeria are preventable. Yet many women still lose their lives due to delays caused by financial barriers, distance to healthcare facilities, cultural decision-making structures, and limited access to skilled medical care. When complications such as obstructed labour occur, the absence of timely emergency care can lead to severe bleeding, infection, stillbirth, uterine rupture, or lifelong conditions such as Obstetric Fistula.

Ensuring free and accessible emergency Caesarean section services for women facing life-threatening childbirth complications is not charity, it is a human right. This aligns with the commitments of the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa (Maputo Protocol), which upholds women’s rights to dignity, health, and life.

At Dcenturyvibes Global International Foundation (DGIF), this dialogue reinforces our commitment to advancing maternal health advocacy through practical, community-driven solutions. We will continue promoting a literacy-driven approach that equips women and families with knowledge on maternal health rights, early pregnancy danger signs, and access to life-saving care, while engaging stakeholders to drive evidence-based policy action.

One statement from the dialogue deeply resonated:
“A nation that cannot guarantee safe childbirth for its mothers cannot claim true progress.”

As we commemorate International Women's Day, this moment calls for more than reflection, it calls for policy, action, and collective political will.

In Nigeria, no woman should die giving life.
