3AM FOUNDATION PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO THE NIGERIAN RED CROSS SOCIETY, FCT BRANCH

The Aisha Abba Abdullahi Memorial Foundation (3AM Foundation) paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Red Cross Society, FCT Branch NIGERIAN RED CROSS SOCIETY FCT to explore opportunities for a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening voluntary blood donation and improving support for blood cancer patients across the Federal Capital Territory and beyond.

During the visit, the Founder reaffirmed the Foundation's commitment to addressing Nigeria's critical shortage of safe blood through awareness, advocacy, voluntary blood donation campaigns, and support for vulnerable blood cancer patients.

The meeting highlighted the shared humanitarian values of Aisha Abba Abdullahi Memorial Foundation and NIGERIAN RED CROSS SOCIETY focused on key areas of collaboration, including:

🩸 Joint voluntary blood donation drives across communities and institutions across the FCT and beyond.

📢 Public awareness and advocacy on voluntary, non-remunerated blood donation and blood cancer.

🤝 Coordinated support for vulnerable patients, particularly children and individuals living with blood cancer who require lifesaving blood transfusions.

The 3AM Foundation participated in the NEPICIN Cancer Awareness walk, reaffirming its commitment to advancing public health, disease prevention, and community engagement.

The cancer awareness walk brought together, healthcare professionals, civil society organizations, and advocates in a united effort to promote healthier lifestyles and strengthen public awareness on key health issues like cancer.

The Founder of the Aisha Abba Abdullahi Memorial Foundation (3AM Foundation), Hum. Huseina Baba-Inna delivered a goodwill message at the NEPICIN (Network of People Impacted by Cancer in Nigeria) event.

In her remarks, she appreciated the lives of people affected by cancer in Nigeria and the Work NEPICIN is doing.

In her remarks also, she highlighted the strong link between cancer care and voluntary blood donation, noting that many patients depend on safe blood during treatment.

She commended NEPICIN for its continuous work in supporting patients, survivors, and caregivers, and reaffirmed 3AM Foundation’s commitment to partnerships that save lives and restore hope.

As part of the 3AM Foundation’s ongoing commitment to strengthening partnerships within Nigeria's healthcare sector, the Founder of the Aisha Abba Abdullahi Memorial Foundation (3AM Foundation), Hum. Huseina Baba-Inna FIHSD and her team paid a courtesy visit to Sahad Hospitals, Apo, Abuja.

The Founder was received by the Chief Managing Director (CMD) of Sahad Hospitals Dr. Muawiyya Usman Zagga and the Director of Clinical Services, Dr. Ahmed who welcomed the delegation and engaged in productive discussions on areas of mutual interest.

The visit focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration in advancing voluntary blood donation, improving access to safe and adequate blood supplies, and supporting community based healthcare initiatives aimed at saving lives and strengthening healthcare delivery.

Speaking during the visit, Hum. Huseina Baba-Inna highlighted the Foundation's dedication to addressing the persistent shortage of blood in Nigeria through advocacy, awareness campaigns, donor mobilization, and strategic partnerships with healthcare institutions.

She emphasized that collaboration between civil society organizations and healthcare providers is essential to building a sustainable voluntary blood donation culture and ensuring that patients in need have timely access to lifesaving blood transfusions.

Every June 14th reminds us of who we are and what we stand for.

At the Aisha Abba Abdullahi Memorial Foundation (3AM Foundation), we believe that the greatest gift one person can give another is the gift of life. Through every blood drive, every volunteer, and every selfless donor, we continue to champion a future where no life is lost because safe blood is unavailable.

As we commemorate World Blood Donor Day 2026, we proudly stand with millions around the world in celebrating the everyday heroes who roll up their sleeves to save lives.

This year's theme, "One Drop of Humanity. Give Blood. Save Lives.", is more than a slogan. it is a call to compassion, solidarity, and action. Every drop donated carries hope. Every donor becomes a lifeline. Every act of kindness creates a lasting impact.
