Tabitha Cumi Foundation was proudly represented at the Plan International End-of-Tenure Celebration of the outgoing Shadow Country Director with four Tabitha Girls in attendance.

The event was a girls session, thoughtfully designed to inspire, educate, and empower. Activities included fun icebreaker games, a nutrition and health education session, and an engaging discussion on digital safety.

It was a fun-filled and impactful experience, creating a safe space for learning, connection, and empowerment for the girls.

Tabitha Cumi Foundation hosted a close out/dissemination meeting to mark the end of the fourth phase of the Always Keeping Girls in School Project funded by Charities Aid Foundation (CAF America) for 1600 beneficiaries across 32 schools in FCT, Benue and Lagos States of Nigeria.

The meeting had in attendance, representatives from Federal Ministry of Education, Health, FCT Universal Basic Education Board, National Human Rights Commission, Child Protection Network, PLAN International, Principals and Guidance Counsellors from all AKGIS implementing schools, TCF team members and representatives from other MDA’s and CSO’s.

The objective of the meeting was to disseminate findings of changes that have occurred since the beginning of the project.

During the event, three students were presented with awards for emerging winners of the AKGIS inter-schook quiz. School principals in attendance also made commitments to support and ensure sustainability of the project.

Tabitha Cumi Foundation organized a one‑day Menstrual Health and Hygiene Management (MHHM) training for Guidance Counsellors from five Junior Secondary Schools in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The participating schools included JSS Apo Legislative Quarters, JSS Dutse Alhaji, JSS Kado Kuchi, JSS Life Camp, and JSS Idukoro.

This initiative was part of the Always Keeping Girls in School Project, supported by Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) America.

The training was highly interactive and engaging, equipping counsellors with practical knowledge on MHHM. They are expected to step down this knowledge to students during gender assemblies in their schools.

As a follow‑up, emergency sanitary pad banks stocked with pads were established, and each counsellor received a copy of the Flow Guide Menstrual Hygiene Management Manual to aid in further implementation.

As a member of the Civil Society Action Coalition Education For All (CSACEFA), TCF attended the 2025 Annual General Forum (AGF) of the coalition being the 25th year anniversary themed: Sustaining the Vision: Advancing Advocacy and Civil Society Mobilization.

A press briefing was hosted alongside other activities which include a call to plenary session and other critical discussions including the coalition’s sustainability/financing plan, members annual dues and new intake registration dues among other business were discussed.

In attendance were the National Moderator, Policy advisor, members of the Facilitating Committee and members from all the geo political zones in Nigeria.
Education for all is the responsibility of all.

As part of the National Technical Working Group on Menstrual health and Hygiene Management (MHHM), Tabitha Cumi Foundation was represented at the 4th Quarterly Meeting of the Technical Working Group On Menstrual Health And Hygiene Management In Nigeria.

The meeting was chaired by the Federal Ministry of Women Affaris and hosted by Education as a vaccine the purpose of the meeting was to present MHHM activities for 2025, finalize the TWG Governance manual, present the drafted work plan for 2026 and streamline members of the TWG into sub committes. TCF' s AKGIS project activities conducted in 2025 were presented at the meeting.

The 16 Days of Activism event which took place in Lagos State on December 9, 2025 featured a captivating panel discussion on navigating digital spaces, identifying digital violence, ensuring online safety, and understanding the roles of state actors and institutions in addressing these issues. The panellists shared valuable insights and expert advice with our project beneficiaries, encouraging them to confidently explore technology while prioritizing their safety.

The event increased awareness about digital violence and promoted online safety, aligning with the global theme *Unite to End Digital Violence against Women and Girls.* The engaging discussions and messages of empowerment inspired attendees, fostering a supportive environment for girls to thrive in this *digital age.*

The Girls Rights, Education and Protection (G-REAP) project brought together esteemed representatives from the International Federation of Female Lawyers (FIDA) Nigeria, Women at Risk International Foundation (WARIF), Child Protection Network (CPN), Women in Technology, project beneficiaries from schools and communities, safe space facilitators, and Guidance counsellors.

An interactive Male Congress on Preventing Technology Facilitated Gender-Based Violence was hosted by TCF team in the FCT Abuja.

This event had in attendance, Tech experts from different fields, men and boys, specifically male teachers, community champions and youth leaders from our Girls Rights, Education and Protection (G-REAP) project schools and communities in the FCT.

Highlights of the event include a key note presentation delivered by Mr. Abdullahi Sale the Regional Coordinator Alliance of Civil Societies for Sustainable, Inclusive and transformative education (ACSITE) and a panel discussion as well as roles played by boys from our communities.

The interactions created an avenue where young boys were mentored by tech experts.

TCF team members took the walk with the honourable Minister of Women Affairs and other distinguished stakeholders and CSOs in tandem on the team of this year's 16 days of Activism *To End Digital Violence against Women and Girls.*

Key messages of Prevention and response were disseminated during this symbolic, national walk which demonstrated *collaboration, commitment and resilience* to ending all forms of GBV in Nigeria.
