On Wednesday, 22 April 2026, the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs (FMSDIGA) hosted the Nigeria Türkiye Business Council (NTBC) for a high-level meeting in the Permanent Secretary’s Conference Room, Abuja.

The delegation from the Türkiye Business Council, led by its Director General, Ms Uche Osoka, was received by the Permanent Secretary of FMSDIGA, the Director of Parastatals, Director of finance and Accounting FMSDIGA, Public Relations, and Deputy Director P&P. The engagement focused on collaboration opportunities in local governance, technology transfer, and technical expertise.

The DG NTBC emphasised the importance of establishing strong ties with the Ministry to enhance investment in Nigeria from Turkish businesses, while addressing challenges such as funding and system reforms.

A key emphasis was the need to focus on building the economy at the subnational level where 45% of Nigerians live.
