Today, deaf creatives and entrepreneurs from across Africa came together and did something that has never been done before on this continent.

They told the truth. They named the barriers. They refused to be invisible.

And they did it together — in sign language, in front of an audience spanning 4 countries across Africa. 🌍

"Declaring Our Right to Create" was not just a webinar. It was proof.

I built this because I refused to wait. 🖐🏾

I am Precious — music artist, creative entrepreneur, and the convener of the Africa Deaf Creative & Entrepreneur Summit.

For too long, deaf creatives and entrepreneurs across Africa have been building in silence — not because we have nothing to say, but because the spaces that were supposed to include us never did.

I created ADCES to change that.
Not one day. Not when the time is right Now.

This Deaf Week, I am proud to present "Declaring Our Right to Create" — a free, fully accessible pan-African webinar bringing together deaf creatives, entrepreneurs, advocates, and allies to name the barriers, speak the truth, and begin building what should have always existed.

This is not just an event. This is a declaration. And it starts with us. 🌍

As a deaf musician and creative entrepreneur, I know firsthand what it costs to build in a world that was not designed for you. I have felt the walls. I have pushed through them. And I have seen enough talented, brilliant, powerful deaf Africans held back by systems — not by ability.
