GOSCA INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY 2026: SUCCESSFUL ONLINE DISCUSSION

The Gombe State Cybercafé Operators Association (GOSCA) successfully hosted a special online discussion yesterday in commemoration of International Youth Day 2026.

The discussion was held under the topic:

“From Cybercafé to Digital Hub: Reimagining the Role of Youth in Nigeria’s Digital Economy.”

The session provided a valuable platform for cybercafé operators, young people, ICT professionals, digital entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders to exchange ideas and discuss the evolving role of cybercafés in Nigeria’s digital economy.

GOSCA sincerely appreciates all participants who joined the Google Meet session and contributed their valuable perspectives, questions, and experiences. Your participation and engagement greatly contributed to the success of the programme.

We extend our special appreciation to our distinguished guest and Special Guest, Musa Jamil Barak from Nigeria Innovation and Digital Services Alliance for honouring our invitation and sharing a warm and inspiring message with participants.

We equally appreciate him for his insightful and well-delivered presentation on the discussion topic. His contribution provided valuable perspectives on innovation, digital transformation, entrepreneurship, and the opportunities available to young people within Nigeria’s growing digital economy.

GOSCA also appreciates all guests, members, speakers, partners, and everyone who supported the successful organisation of the programme.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

The Gombe State Cybercafe Association (GOSCA) is pleased to inform the public that it is currently engaging with Cyber Café operators across Gombe State to introduce discounted Cyber Café service charges for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).

The proposed discounts will apply to a wide range of essential digital services, including:

- School Registration
- NYSC Registration
- NERD Registration
- JAMB and other examination registrations
- Job Applications
- Online Payments
- Printing, Photocopying, Scanning, and other Cybercafé services

This initiative is part of GOSCA's commitment to promoting digital inclusion and ensuring that Persons with Disabilities have affordable access to essential online services.

Upon the successful conclusion of discussions with participating Cyber Café operators, the Association will officially announce the approved discount structure and the list of participating Cyber Cafés.

Together, we can make digital services more accessible and affordable for everyone.

GOSCA APPLAUDS NYSC–GOMBE LGA PARTNERSHIP ON CORPS MEMBERS' WELFARE

The Gombe State Cybercafe Operators Association - GOSCA Association (GOSCA) warmly welcomes the engagement between the Nysc Gombe State Coordinator and the Executive Chairman of Gombe Local Government, Prof. Abdullahi Bappah Garkuwa, on improving the welfare of Corps Members.

As an association representing cybercafé operators across Gombe State, we work closely with Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) and Corps Members throughout the NYSC registration, documentation, and online processing stages. We therefore understand firsthand the challenges they face and appreciate every effort aimed at making their service year more convenient and productive.

We commend the commitment to addressing accommodation and other welfare concerns and encourage all stakeholders to continue working together to create a more supportive environment for Corps Members.

GOSCA remains committed to supporting digital access and providing quality ICT services that facilitate a seamless NYSC registration process for PCMs across Gombe State.
