Last weekend, a few of our team spent the day at the Young Leaders Development Program, and we left with our hearts completely full.

As young people, it is so easy to look at the big stages, the offices, and the titles, and feel like leadership starts and belongs there only.

But Mr during his keynote said something that hit right home for us: Everyone has a unique contribution to leadership.

It reminded us that leadership isn't about waiting for a microphone or a position. It’s simply the way we choose to show up in our everyday lives. It’s in the small, consistent actions that nobody sees.

This is exactly the mindset we live by as an organization, and it’s what we ensure every volunteer serving with us carries. But our biggest hope is that every single young person we meet embraces this truth too.

​Because when we stop looking up at the stages and start looking at our own hands, everything changes.

When we all realize we have a part to play right where we are, we don’t just talk about a transformed society, we actually start building it, day by day.

But because they don’t have access to something as basic as sanitary pads, or a safe, private space in school to manage their period with dignity.

Let that sink in.

Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM) refers to procedures that intentionally alter or injure the female ge***al organs for non-medical reasons. It is a harmful practice rooted in misinformation, inequality, and control over girls’ bodies.

FGM has no health benefits. Instead, it can cause severe pain, infections, menstrual complications, childbirth difficulties, and long-term physical and emotional trauma. For many girls, it also disrupts education, confidence, and overall wellbeing.

FAB Treasure Foundation’s stance is clear: FGM is a violation of girls’ rights and dignity. It endangers their health and has no cultural or medical justification.

Ending FGM requires education, honest conversations, community engagement, and a firm commitment to protecting girls’ bodily autonomy.

Zero tolerance means zero silence.
