Five years ago, God took ₦2,500 and turned it into a movement of grace.
What started as one act of quiet obidience has grown — by His hand alone — into hundreds of widows fed, children in school, women receiving free healthcare, and hearts made whole. Every programme, every conference, every scholarship, every hug has been impact filled.
To every beneficiary who trusted us with their story — thank you.

To God, who has been faithful in every single season — all the glory belongs to You.

We are celebrating our Founder & Executive Director, Ijeoma Christiana Egwuiyi 🎉
Today, we pause to honour a leader who doesn't just lead from the front — she grows from within.
Ijeoma has officially graduated from a Trauma-Informed Training Session, and at AWLPOF, we believe this is not just a personal milestone. It is a gift to every widow, single mother, and vulnerable woman who walks through our doors.
Here's why this matters deeply:
The women we serve at AWLPOF have known loss — of husbands, of income, of safety, of dignity. Many carry invisible wounds that no food package or scholarship can fully reach. A trauma-informed leader understands this. She doesn't just ask "what is wrong with you?" — she asks "what happened to you?"
That shift in question changes everything.
It changes how we listen. How we design our programmes. How we hold space during our annual widow conferences. How we show up — not just as service providers, but as healers of community.
Ijeoma has always led with her heart. Now she leads with tools to match.
We are proud. We are grateful. And our community is safer because of it.

Today, on World Health Day, we are reminded that health is not a privilege—it is a right.
But in many rural communities across Nigeria, a silent crisis is growing.
Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) is making common infections harder to treat.
What used to be simple illnesses are becoming life-threatening—especially for women and children.
At Awlpof, we believe the fight against AMR must start where the impact is greatest:
👉 Rural communities
👉 Women—the first caregivers in every home
Through our AMR Awareness Campaign, we are:
Educating women in local languages
Challenging harmful practices around antibiotic misuse
Empowering communities with life-saving knowledge
Because when a mother understands, a family is protected.
But we cannot do this alone.

🎉 AWLPOF IS TURNING 5 THIS APRIL

We will be spotlighting the impact driven programs we have been executing in the last four years.

📚 Meet the AWLPOF School Fees Drive.

Every September, when schools reopen across Nigeria, we ask one simple question:

"Which child in our community will be turned away at the gate because their mother couldn't pay fees?"

For 4 consecutive years, AWLPOF has paid one full year of school tuition for orphans and widows' children in our Nigeria .Fees go directly to schools. Children go directly to class.

📊 THE NUMBERS:
→ 200+ children supported
→ 70% are GIRL CHILDREN
→ 4 years. Zero gaps. Zero excuses.

💜 WHY GIRLS?

Because when money runs out in a household, it is almost always the girl who is pulled from school first.

We refuse to accept that.

70% of our beneficiaries are girl children — by design, by commitment, by conviction. We know that a girl who stays in school changes not just her own future, but her family's, and her community's.
