A woman can have a skill and still struggle to find a job.

And we need to be honest about that.

Learning a skill is important, but sometimes the difficult part comes after the training.

You finish the course.
You get the certificate.
You update your CV.
You start applying.

Then comes the waiting…

“We’ll get back to you.”
“You need experience.”
“We’ve found someone else.”

This is why skills development cannot stop at “we trained her.”

We also need to ask:

Did she get connected to an opportunity?
Does she know how to present herself professionally?
Does she have access to employers and networks?
Can her skills compete beyond her immediate environment?

Because the ultimate goal is not just to give an African woman another certificate.

The goal is to help her become employable, confident, connected, and ready for opportunities.

And those opportunities could be right here in Africa or somewhere across the world.

At Woman Africa International, we believe there must be a bridge between capacity development and meaningful employment.

Because training should open doors not leave women standing outside them.
