DAY 2 | REDEFINING THE MIMBAR - COMPLETE RECAP 🌅

Alhamdulillah, Day 2 was impactful!

Here's how the day unfolded at Arafat Mosque, Auchi:

1️⃣ MORNING SESSION: Practical Da'wah & Khutbah Delivery
Facilitated by Ustadh Abdur-Rahman Alufa
Our Imaams dived deep into effective Khutbah delivery and community leadership.

2️⃣ INTERACTIVE SESSION: Open Dialogue with Imaams
Led by Ustadh AbdulMalik Pius Etokhana
A frank, practical session addressing real challenges on the Mimbar.

3️⃣ EVENING LECTURE: After Asr
Delivered by Dr. Sanusi Lafiagi
Lecturer, Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Kwara State.

The Goal Remains: Equipping leaders to guide with wisdom, clarity, and impact.

Alhamdulillah! We have successfully concluded our REVERT TRAINING 8.0.

The beautiful closing ceremony was anchored by Ustadh Saleem Abdus-Salam, and commenced with an opening prayer led by Ustadh Tajudeen, followed by a soulful opening recitation from the Qur'an by Ustadh Abdur-Rahman Mahmud.

We also had a voluntary recitation from one of our revert sisters, Sister Faridah, mashaAllah.

In his closing address, our Executive Director, Ustadh Abdulbasit Musa Ikhilor, commended the staff, facilitators, and students for their excellent conduct, dedication, and eagerness to learn throughout the training.

The programme featured the presentation of certificates, a brief assessment, and was closed with du'a. It was a truly memorable moment as participants took group photographs with the Executive Director, teachers and facilitators, as well as individual commemorative pictures.

It was indeed a beautiful and fulfilling ending. All participants departed with joy in their hearts and gratitude to Allah.

We say Jazakum Allahu Khairan to everyone who made this a success. Together, we build a stronger Ummah!

ALEF RECEIVES THE NURTURED MUSLIMAH INITIATIVE

Yesterday at the ALEF Dawah and Revert Center, we were honoured to receive our dear sisters from the Nurtured Muslimah Initiative who paid a courtesy visit to Amana Legacy Foundation (ALEF).

It was an afternoon of meaningful conversations on nurturing the Muslimah upon Deen, modesty and purpose, and exploring areas of collaboration for the Ummah.

The visit was made even more special with thoughtful gifts presented to our Executive Director Abdulbasit Musa, including books and a framed inscription of the words of Allah:

“Whatever you spend [in His cause] — He will compensate it; and He is the best of Providers.” — Qur’an 34:39

And the Hadith: “Charity does not decrease wealth.”

A powerful reminder indeed.

Thank you, Nurtured Muslimah Initiative, for honouring us. Our doors remain open. This is the beginning of greater khair, as we look forward to doing more together for the our cherished Muslimah of the Ummah, bi'iznillah.
