Diabetes affects 1 in 10 adults worldwide, yet many remain undiagnosed. This yearโ€™s theme reinforces the importance of early detection, awareness, and timely access to quality care, especially for the workforce.
At AHNi, our commitment to community health and our workforce drives us to promote better nutrition, fitness, work-life balance, encourage regular screening, and strengthen support systems, especially in underserved communities where gaps in care persist.
Together, we can prevent complications, empower healthier decisions, and expand access to diabetes care for everyone.
A healthier future begins with awareness and action.

As we conclude the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, our commitment to ending violence against women and girls must continue every day. The impact of GBV on HIV/AIDS is profound, and we must strengthen our efforts to create a society where every woman and girl can live free from fear and violence. We call upon the Government, traditional and religious leaders, civil societies, and the general society, especially in the northeast of Nigeria, to carry on this crucial campaign. Together, we can make a difference.

๐ŸŒŸ Empowering Communities Against GBV ๐ŸŒŸ
As part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, Rashidat Mamudu, the AHNi ACE-1 focal person on Gender for the USAID-funded project, led a significant GBV awareness campaign in Kpanti Nappu, Yorro LGA, Taraba State. This initiative, in collaboration with key stakeholders, engaged the community in open conversations about preventing GBV, supporting survivors, and understanding referral pathways.
The campaign provided a platform for women to voice their concerns and receive support, highlighting the importance of mental health and psychosocial support for survivors. Together, we can break the cycle of violence and build stronger, safer communities. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ
